I recently purchased a 8800 GTS to drive my new Westinghouse 37" LCD, and a 7600GS to drive my 2 20" LCD's. I got the 8800 GTS up and running with the newest forceware for Windows XP. I attempted to install my 7600GS in the other x16 slot and I got into windows installed the foreware for the 7600GS and then did a restart. Now I get a BSOD during boot. Anyone having issues with this? Furthermore when I used the other x16 slot does it put both slots in x8 mode? I want to have full speed on the 8800 GTS obviously, and I don't really care about the 7600 GS pci-e bandwidth.

The P965 runs the two slots in x16 and x4 mode. The primary slot is x16, while the second slot is x4. I believe you have a driver conflict between the two cards. I'm not sure if Forceware 97.44 supports the 7600 series cards.

Yes, no 8800 lvl driver right now works for non 8800 lvl cards.

So, wait about a month for a good universal driver...

Is nvidia going to make a universal forceware? I thought the new architecture was vastly different than the other gpu's...?

So. currently there is two way to have a 8800 and another nvidia graphics card? Hmm... I guess I should have went with an ATI graphics card as a secondary.

Yeah, get the 93.71's. They do hamper the performance of the 8800 somewhat, but at least the 7600 will be able to co-exist in the same system.
