Vista Sync Center for desktop to laptop

I was wondering if anyone with experience with Sync Center can help me out. I realize that Sync Center is mainly aimed at syncing mobile devices, but I want to use it to keep my Documents folders synchronized between my laptop and my desktop. It seems like I should be able to use it for that, but the best I have figured out is making my desktop folders available offline and manually copying folders over to that directory and then syncing. It's a bit of a hack way of doing it, and I was just wondering if anyone else might know how I could keep the two Documents folders synchronized directly.

without an intermediary server, thats probably the best way to do it.
