What to do with "old" rig?

Planning on getting a new desktop this summer, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with the "old" one.

Current desktop is a Dell (I know) Dimension 8200 that's been occasionally upgraded. Specs are as follows:

P4 2.53
1GB RD800
GF 6600GT
120GB WDSE HDD

The ideal, of course, would be to make it into some sort of media computer, but from what I'm seeing, it's underpowered at this point for that use (at least when it comes to the new HD formats). Note that it's an Intel i850E MB, and that the ram is RD- it's not really so feasible to switch out the MB, and the maximum processor is the original 3.06HT/533, if I can even find one, so the specs it's at (absent the video card, which needs to be AGP) are pretty much the maximum that can be achieved.

So, what's worth doing with this poor rig?

Actually, it's probably fine for a media pc. It's not going to play 1080p, but it should do 720p just fine. XVID's will be fine as well.

I made my old pc into a Media Center and it was one of the best damn things i've ever done :) Just make sure you explore GameEx as a gaming emulator front end. (ie: will stick "my games" on the first menu in Media Center) It has arcade, nes,snes,n64,gamecube, ds, sega, etc...emulators.

Split it up and keeps the parts that'll be useful to you as spares and sell the rest.

OR

Give the whole thing to charitable organisation.
