How do I force Win2k Server to choose NIC #1 vs. NIC #2 (both have Internet, though)

One has an address of 192.168.0.220 and the other 192.168.10.1 and I want to use the 10.1 one all the time for surfing the Internet and pulling info from the web. The 0.220 is only used as incoming for Remote Desktop.

I'm thinking... setting the priority of the NIC... but how?

EDIT

The reason why I ask, is because when I do:

ping -t yahoo.com

I get great pings for like 60 records and then it says destination NOT reachable. But, if I disable the NIC that has the disconnected internet, it will always say great pings. The 0.220 is connected to the router, but the Internet is down on that one, so that's why it's trying to go through the 0.220 (b/c it DOES have a valid connection to the router), but the router does not have Internet, since the DSL modem is down.

In case they don't want to go forum spelunking: You want to assign the correct default gateway to the box, that'll do what you are after.

You can also just change the metric in the tcp properties on the not used nic to 100 from automatic.

QFT. What I do at work. I have a cable connection on NIC1 and my internal lan connection with 10MB fiber on NIC2. Set the metric to the lowest number on the NIC you want to use for the internet.

open ctrl panel, network connections
advanced,
advanced settings

Remove any gateway on the NIC you don't want to have internet access.
