So I was at comp usa this weekend and on the shelf was that VisionTek x1300 PCI card that [H] reviewed last year. In that article, they mentioned that ATi was designing the ability to have one card as physics and one as graphics, as long as they are both X1k cards or higher (my other card is a PCI-E X1600pro).
Is this ability available yet? Will it be?
Will it be worth it?

The RD600 (almost-nonexistent) chipset will be able to do it once drivers are released. I heard the only RD600 board will be the DFI LanParty that's already out, though, so.....

Asus did comment back in 2006 that they would also
make RD600 based boards, but I dunno if they pu**ied
out from that or not, with Intel going down motherboard
manufacturers throats and all, about supporting ATi/AMD's
chipsets  .

I'm trying to find out about this too. But ATI's site doesnt have much info. It only states that a x1xxx card can be used for physics with crossfire but doesnt add anything else. Doesnt say anything about needing PCI-Ex1, x16 and PCI. I only have a PCIE-1 slot available to use with my 1950xt's. I might have to buy one just to see.
