They just said "that...is the ipod pretty cool"...

So I think this IS the new iPod.
 
Hmmm, I don't really care about the ipod features (my zen is all I need) but that phone is looking very interesting.
 
the "iphone" looks damn cool. I think it's intended as a range topper for the ipod line since music/video playback is one of its heavily touted features.

And don't expect it to cost $300, comparable smartphones often cost more than that *with* carrier agreements.

damn, I recall seeing a video on youtube about multi touch screens doing this...didnt think it would be on a phone! :eek: :eek:
 
$299 was the cost of the iTV or whatever the video box is called. I bet the phone will be higher, much higher.
 
I'm no Apple fan boy, but this easily looks like the single coolest, most revolutionary piece of consumer electronics in history.
 
Apple TV looks cool. Too bad it's only 720p though.

Although for $299 it's still not bad.
 
8 gigs? Doubt it. the keynote is still running. I'm gonna wait til he announces final capacities. But for gawd sake let there be slots for SD cards. Then the sky will be the limit for storage!

2 MP camera is on the back...they announced that towards the beginning.

Wait...will this not work for Verizon for just regular calling features?
 
Someone over at engadget said cingular is hawking it now for $350 (prob with 2 year contract yadda yadda). Can anyone call and confirm?

For a phone and PDA 8gb is HUGE!!!! For a video ipod it's lacking.

The way the guy on macrumorslive.com said it, it sounds like it might even have a hard drive. "This...is the new iPod. pretty cool"

I'd hope that Apple doesn't do something like that.

There are many people who aren't into convergent devices. (me being one of them)
Don't force me to buy a phone, when I only want an Mp3 player...
