nice man, i have the same case but from aspire, im about to cover the whole front with carbon film :)

hehe, i just bought a p160 from a friend and put an old comp in there. And i've haven't taken those stickers off, probably too busy messing with my new case. Ram is on the way, i sold my old DDR thinking i wouldn't need it ><

*round of applause*

truly fantastic job. i see no reason to nitpick it cuz its clearly thought out and executed well.

nice your mobo must be spaced high up to get room for your psu cables unless u drilled holes

Can anyone give me some tips for this?

I dont know what to do with the 12v and the wires at the top.

I'll get some better pictures tommorow.

Just got a new Corsair HX520 power supply and Asus A8N32 motherboard. Here's what I have, but just let me say this first: whoever said that those "flexforce" style cables were flexible lied.

Sorry for the crappy pics, I don't have a tripod.

I dont know what to do with the 12v and the wires at the top.

Well the only thing I can think of would be to zip tie the 12v line with the other couple of wires running over the top of your mobo. The problem is that it looks like you'll have to pull out your HSF to get access to it though. I'd probably leave it --especially since it's not obstructing any airflow that I can think of.

Another suggestion would be to resize your images before posting them. I don't think we need the original 2400 pixel wide image to see how your wiring looks like! I usually keep images limited to a 700 pixel max dimension (800 if you really need it).

Yeah i'll resize them and edit it in a bit.

Im thinking of putting the 12v behind the PSU, I have about a centimeter there.

Would there be any way to like, take off the slave part of the IDE cable, so I can put it under my mobo tray? It wont fit with the slave connection off.

AuroraProject, amazing, what cables?, damn, that is a nice job, that must have taken you hours to get it that clean.:D

I'd suggest just finding an online IDE cable vendor that will sell you a cable with just one connector. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone I'd go to first but maybe someone else here might know a good source.

if its a flat cable just unclip and and pull it off, its just a clip on the back of the header and the header is just prongs that make contact.

I love that man, so much stuff in there and nice wires. Only thing I can say is possibly spin the drives around, and route the S-ATA cables behind the cage.

what you guys think of my setup

common question is what is the fan on the bottom of the case for-- its for cooling the x1800's voltage regulator and i find it rather tasteful but if you got any suggestions on cooling it a better way im open to suggestions, and a pci slot cooler isnt a option because there too loud

Impresed!!! nice cable management !! :)

Oh! nice man, I stil don't understand why those who have this Coolermaster cases make so good cable management.

well the first step to having a clean case is a modular PSU, secondly you need as little as possible in your case

if you look at the pics you quoted

1 IDE Cable (no DVD Rom?)
1 Hard Drive
no soundcard,
no USB Back plate
no firewire
no LCD Front panels or fan controllers
very few Fans
no CCLs (nightmare to wire with those nasty black inverters)

oh and cut your motherboard tray to pass wires through

There are 2 ide cables in that system, one is covered by the other. I could (and likely will) add another optical drive and another hard drive without adding any additional wiring, a sound card wouldn't add any wiring either. And actually there is a fan controller and a ccfl light in there too, I'll post a pic in a few. I made several cuts to the motherboard tray, a notch was made in the psu cage, a notch in the side of the drive cage, and a hole was drilled for the rear 80mm fan wire (it actually runs out of the case and then back in). The ide connectors are next to each other, so one covers the other, and 36 inch cables were used to give the maximum routing possibilities. The ide run folds under the mobo, comes through a cut, turns down and then the 2 cables are folded onto each other several times to fit into the rearmost channel, they then turn right and head through the channel then up and through the notch in the drive cage. The ATX cable is a 12" extension which just folds under the mobo and out a hole. Same with the 4 pin P4 connector. Power cables were assembled by me using easy grip and ConnectX right angle molex connectors. One run comes out of the psu and travels across the top of the case, down the far side and through the drive cage notch. A seperate run was made down the backside of the mobo for video card power, and the rear fan. I plan to add another optical drive by simply splicing in a ConnectX molex plug and removing and relocating the second ide connector, same for a second hard drive. I will have to either ditch the ccfl, or come up with a new location for it when adding the additional drives.

Well I just joined this forum, and after looking at everyones wires I think I can do a lot better!

I have a few ideas on what to do though.

Just cleaned up the cables after going through the pages of this thread...

Any advice on making it cleaner?

What kinda camera are you using?

EOS 400D? Never seen the "XTi" before so I googled, and it found quite alot of stuff. :D

yes the 400D, which is the XTi for us Americans. It's a great camera, and I can't wait to start getting more lenses for it!

Updated picture. Consolidated 2 ide drives for a single 500g hd, replaced ide dvd burner with a sata drive, ghetto modded a 120mm fan as a blowhole, and replaced vc-re with a hr-05-sli

Very nice, clean and smooth. I can't wait to upgrade my system to SATA only drives (hard-drive and optical :D)

I agree. I really love the huge hole behind the PSU in the Tsunami, makes wire hiding nice and easy. My wiring isn't as good, but I've got 3 hard drives and 2 optical drives to worry about :p

Sleeve the v700 connector with some cheap heatshrink. Do it like this:

When you said cheap heatshrink, does that mean I could use...... electrical tape?:D Thats how I've been sleeving most, if not all, of my wires (that weren't pre sleeved).

The problem with electrical tape is, if it melts to the cables at all, its a bitch to get off if you ever need to.

PS: Hi m3talhead! SPUF :p
