Does anyone know how to turn the classic control panel on using the latest Forceware drivers? Geez, I can't find a way to do it, as the "new" control panel sucks. Thanks!

I would just get used to the new panel. Download nTune, it'll let you do the overclocking features.

Without the new panel you can't use the higher AA settings like 8x, 8xQ, 16x, and 16xQ.

Open regedit and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies

Add a new DWORD value called SedonaDisable and set it's value to 2

Now exit regedit and open the new control panel and the option to switch to the classic control panel will be in one of the pulldown menus.

Be aware that the old panel won't let you use some newer features such as the new CSAA anti-aliasing modes.

Oh thanks a lot BlueFalcon.

Well, so it seems that I'll have to stick with this new shitty panel.

Dang :(

I must admit the new control panel does take a little getting used to. Not sure if I like the classic view better or if I was just more familiar with it.

I like the old one because it seemed all the tools were in a well organized small area and I just felt like I could get to where I wanted to go more easily and without any guess-work.. I am slowly getting used to the new panel.. still don't care for it much tho.. I wish Nv would focus more on driver quality than UI enhancement features.. the old panel was A-OK.. oh well. I guess the new one allows for greater flexibilty with meshing with other modules, like Ntune and such..

Except ntune still likes to see an nforce motherboard - I can't install it, so no overclocking goodness or temp monitoring for me :( Oh well - rivatuner's better anyway.

I have ntune installed and working happily on my P5W DH.. it even tries to show some mobo stats.. but they're scewed..

I do not think it's good to just like that say to people to install ntunes.
Ntunes fuck up drivers of nforce chipset and 8800 series on many mainboards rendering 3d grafic preformance to 1/4 of it's normal values.
Only complite uninstall of all nvidia drivers using driver cleaner helps. Well reinstalling windows helps to.

So I wouldn't say to people install ntunes it works on my PC.

I wouldn't mind the new control panel so much if it had the same functionality as the old CP! Usability is no problem.
