What did you do to the door of that thing? And why is the side panel mounted inside out?

Oh, and some people turn their computers off when they sleep. ;)

i did that once when i was bored....
removed all plastic parts and stuff :p

Actually... looking at it with a bit of bondo and some paint that shark would be really nice.

hahhaha nice one

question: thoase stackers can be reversible right? as in, i cna choose to do it lian li style and have the stuff open up from he left, inverted atx mobo etc etc?

you can switch to btx mode without buying additional parts i think, but i dont know if it works with a regular atx board after that. would interest me too actually.... anyone? :p

I think you have to buy extra hardware for actual BTX mode. Reversing the motherboard tray isn't BTX. That's reverse ATX.

BTX would involve the thermal module.

I really hate seeing a title say "mod" but in reality there is no mod. All you did was add some lights and fan grills, all which are bought from a store. Why doesn't anyone use a dremel, bondo, paint, plexiglass etc anymore?

Because they aren't [H]ard enough. I don't consider it a mod unless you do some serious work. Before I did my G5 conversion the most I had ever done was cutting fan holes. I went all out with the G5 case, that was a mod. Another example: My fileservers, I had to dremel off a few 5.25" retention brackets and cut and drill some aluminum strips to add an extra HDD where there shouldn't be one. I don't consider that a mod. (Although they are a thing of beauty, I pick up my engraved 5.25" panels today, should set them off perfectly)

The only plastic in that case in that case is the part between the door and chassis, which doesn't look like you removed judging by that pic...? Or perhaps you did replace it?

thats exactly why i wrote "mod" because i myself dont consider it a full casemod. but still i liked to share some of my time i spent on my computer and it seems like im not the only who does like the pics.

for next time, don't use "mod" to describe something which is not a "mod" lol.

Nice case & wiring though. The wiring and cleanliness should have been in the title, thats what really stands out about the job ya did.

It is not mod and it is not a casemod. Both things require modding. Use of zip ties or tape = Wiring, not modding

I've been thinking about picking up this case. Mainly because of the cooling it offers. I have yet to see a case with more airflow and certainly not one with a better interior layout.

ok, i needed to make a hole at the buttom for the liquid tube AND i needed to glue the damn tube aswell, that mod enought for a "mod"? if its still not considered a mini mod of any sort then

MY BAD, SUE ME

sooooo, we have a consensus?

... that the stacker allows switching to inverted ATX out of the box?

no clue. but if it does then i'm getting it over the silverstone tj09 i think

a mod is not a mod until you cut/slice/splice/dice it open... you even changed the stacker number....LOL...anyways clean setup...

BTX would involve the thermal module.

FYI, The thermal module is included when you buy this case so no additional hardware is needed to convert to BTX. Now all we would need is some good enthusiast-class BTX motherboards. ;) I won't hold my breath.

Well now that Intel is on top again, you never know what they might do ;)

I think BTX is pretty much dead. With the Core 2 Duo, the so called thermal advantages of BTX aren't really needed anymore. Additionally, the case manufacturers really aren't producing a lot of BTX offerings either. Hell even Intel's own motherboards are almost entirely ATX.

It is very simple to convert it. You pull out the motherboard tray, turn it 180 degrees and it slides into the other side of the case. That's it. No tools, no nothing.

Hopefully, you mean the Stacker 830. The STC-T01 and the 820 do require the use of a screwdriver to make the conversion. There are a TON of screws that hold the motherboard tray in.

I've actually been considering inverse mounting of mine for some time for the hell of it.
