Dan, hows that mousepad and hows the g7?
G7 is a great mouse. I use it for gaming and photoshop when I can but batteries die quickly though. MX1000 batteries lasts for two weeks sometimes.

I too use that same printer. I picked up mine in 1997 while working at Comp USA. It was abandoned by a customer who just brought it in for a paper jam. I picked it up for exactly $10.00 and a few toner cartridges later it's working still today.

The truth is I have seen so many of the Laserjet 4 series printers still in operation today. As far as printers go I am convinced the Laserjet 4 is among the most reliable printers ever built.

...
truth. My old school used to have them everywhere, and they just worked, and worked, and worked. We had more problems with the new laserjets than we did with those.

Also -- DanD did you sell your uber dual opteron system off to build the Core2 Duo system??

that was a nice system -- so is your new one though haha

Nice setup dan really wow. I have an older lasjert 6 and I love it the pages are a little slow but it works, I just picked up a Brother MFC printer andi t is great also.

Totally awesome, huh? :D
not too bad at all :)

I used to have that case, but I modded it with 3x panaflo 92mm fans, along with the 4 80mm that were on there, and god was it loud. good case, none the less
<edit> I found a picture </edit>

The mouse pad kicks ass actually. The G7 is the best mouse I've ever had. At least the black one is anyway. I have the silver one with the slick sides and I don't like that one nearly as much.

Yes I did. Well parts of it. The PSU, the case, and drives are all still the same.

Yeah, I was planning to put a few more fans in, but it's loud enough as it is, so I'll probably just end up buying a new case, hopefully along with a new monitor and a 8800 GTS.

lonestarlynch.....have fun returning those speakers in 6 months when they crackle and pop nonstop. Mine did that........pissed me off.

With my latest bout of lower back problems, I had to setup a workstation in the living room as I feel the best when laying on my stomach. Thank god I still have my widescreen laptop!

you really should buy the Gym Ball from Italy, it's very good for your lowerback injury as it handles "Core stabilization", sit on the ball for 1 hr. ea. day helps injury. It's the best chair you can find

Seeing everyones various setups makes me aware of a few things:

1.) I use to think I had a cluttered desk area. Now I feel like I have next to nothing on it.
2.) I really want to order an Ikea Jerker. Something about it draws and calls for me.
3.) Its great to see everyone compliment each other on their setups, its amazing to see basically no harsh remarks no matter what equipment people have, its all positive. :)

the g5 is considered a "gaming" mouse yet it has 1600 dpi, you claim thats alot..not sure it is. but hell, i'll just slow down my speed if needed, and boost it up when I want.

FYI - The G5 is a 2000DPI mouse with presets for 800 and 400. With the logitech setpoint software - you are able to program the mouse with 5 different customizable settings.

But G7 cordless owns.

They are pretty awesome. I've got tons of equipment on mine and it still works well for me.
I second this. I have two of these desks and I would add more if I had the room. They are incredible for their price and functionality.

Nice setup! I especially like the cordless drill on the night stand. "Always be prepared" is what I say!!

too true, you never know when you may have to "screw" something on the bed ;)

thanks!

i like laying in bed using the pc.

although, my pc is going to go on the desk with the lone crt...

next to the bed is for my blackbook thats coming soon ;)

Man that bed is made for a large midget family or something! :) I'd hang off the end there.

:p

Actually, I think if the pillows were to go at one of the ends, it would transform into a normal bed :p
