[H]OT! Xbox 360 Premium $299, Core $199 after MIR

The only way to play movies on the HD-DVD is through the 360's component cables. There is no digital output whether it is HDMI or DVI, so no you can't use a converter.

It can hook up to the PC via USB. Then use PowerDVD 6.5 to play HD-DVD's. Its not only limited to the 360.

The problem is there is no (AFAIK) DVI cable for the 360. If interlacing bothers you (i sure don't like it), use a VGA cable with the HD-DVD drive and run at 1080p. I'm amazed at how good it looks. I don't know how it compares to standalone HD-DVD players but for the price it was worth it.
 
hehehe i just went to a microcenter thats like 20 miles away the other day and bought one. There was like 50 premium systems left and around 100 core ones left
 
man sucks they have so few locations... and seattle isnt one of them T_T
 
I got my rebate finally. They took 8 weeks just to process it, then I got a "your order has been processed, please allow 6-8 weeks for your rebate to arrive". Was worth it though. I just wish I had known at the time about the credit card.

To be fair though, the Renton, WA Fry's is the only Fry's in all of Washington... It's about 10-15 minutes from my house in Bellevue, or about 15-20 minutes from Seattle on a day with well moving/little traffic. Of course, that depends on where in Seattle you're coming from and what freeway/highway you travel/prefer.

Same goes for pretty much everywhere though so that's just me being random as I go to the above Fry's often.

Sure is nice to be in Richardson.

I have a Microcenter not even 10 min away and a Fry's even closer than that! ;)

thats tight, im actually eastside bellevue, but figured no one would know where hell bellevue is, so put seattle. yeah i405 can get really bad traffic at peak hours. 15mi from my house.

i want a x360 for 200$ T_T... im just too cheap to buy one at fullprice.. but if i cant get a good deal like this by the time halo3 comes out ill be buying fulprice :E

Yeah, I leave for Spain on thursday though... so kinda busy...

I got my 360 premium for full price on the 23rd of nov. because i was home and my birthday was coming up and stuff.
 
I was hoping someone in this thread could answer a couple questions for me.

1. Is the $100 MIR still going on? (until at least Thursday?)
2. Is the $100 cash back still going on for the new credit card?
3. Can you purchase the extended warranty at Microcenter or online?

2. Not sure if it's cash back. But on the first statement of your card, you have the option to reduce it by $100
3. In-store. I paid 32.99 for 1 year i think or something. i forget. It was charged as an item on that credit card.

Thank you very much. My dad and I are planning on making a trip into Chicago (about an hour and 15 minute drive) for this deal.
 
1. I did not know they extended it til the end of dec, that's really cool of them.
2. I myself am still waiting. Every day i log into my BOA account expecting to see due date is upon me to pay and it still hasn't registered yet. But theres 497.93 on there, I better get something in return lol.
3. 32.99 for 1 year and 59.99 for 2 year. I went ahead with the 2 year just to be safe, I didn't really care at the point all things considered.
 
Are they still doing the $100 off for a new credit card?
If so I might be in for it.

got the $100 mail in rebate and the $100 card deal, so $200ish for a new premium 360

also, can someone answer some q's i have with the credit card thing--

i opened a new account, but they gave me basically no information, other than saying i'll get some stuff in the mail in 2 weeks. how would i check this card online? how do i redeem the $100? i read previous responses and it seems that people had the option to select the $100 back online, but i don't have any of that stuff yet.

any help?

I see $50 being listed from the bank's website, did they lower the amount or is the instore card deal different than the WorldPoints card online?
 
The card is through bank of america. Go to https://www.bankofamerica.com/index.jsp and use your card number they gave you (they should have handed you a print out with the card number and other info) to set up an online account. When you get your first statement your bonus rewards points will be available for cash out (or use towards any other item in the rewards catalogue). Took me about a week to get mine in the mail once I submitted it.

Its a microcenter store brand card through bank of america. Should still be $100 back. The $100 cash back thing has been going on for about a year, its not new (at MircoCenter).

thanks man, didn't know i had to enroll.

i don't have the 3 digit security code though, since the printout doesn't have it on it. should i wait for the card to come in the mail then?
 
Thanks! I picked up a premium with the credit card deal, $224 after mail-in rebates :eek:

Even if they don't have the Premium in stock, you could still get the Core with something like the 250GB Sata II hdd ($129.99 before $70 MIR), both for about $185 after MIR. Or the Core system with 360 hdd for $224 after MIR, which is still a good deal if they dont have the premium.

i got the credit card in the mail today and enrolled in online banking, that isn't the problem -

i have 0 points listed under my rewards.

shouldn't i have 13,000 to get the $100 back?

will this take effect sometime soon? or should it be there already?
 
I never got my credit card in the mail. But I did get the statement. It says that I had 13000+ points. I ended up calling them to redeem my points for cash by mail. Still waiting for it. And it was like $80 + $12.50 = $92.50, not $100. :( Well for me at least. hehe.

It will get added when your first statement with payment due comes through. Then you can exchange it for a 100 check in the rewards catalogue. I got my check in about 4 days after submitting it. Im still waiting for the 100 mail in rebate check (still shows processing at microcenters rebate status page).

I would call and have a new card sent out with a new number. There are people stealing credit cards out of mailboxes and going on shopping spree's.... Never take any chances with your credit.
