[H]OT! Xbox 360 Premium $299, Core $199 after MIR

Me too... i'm very interested in getting $200 off a premium system...lol.

Basically you have to apply for a bank of america world points visa. You spend $400 on the card and you get 100 back (cash out your points for cash back or credit your card after your first months bill). They have two cards in the store, a micro center card and a world points, make sure you get the right one.

I always get em back pretty fast, the visa reward should be instant (on your first invoice). You can opt for a direct deposit into your account or have it credited to your card.

I picked up the premium for $300 AR when the first rebate came around... I wonder if there is some way I can get in on this by returning it. But I already sent in the rebate. Anybody know if there is a possibility I could work it?

It's good to know they're making this deal available again. My cousin's been looking to get an Xbox 360, so I'm sure at $300 after rebate he will be sold. I'll have to call him up tomorrow. Thanks OP.

Please point us directly to the official info on getting $100 back when spending $400 on the card? There is no way that is "just" points for spending $400 since that would be 25% cash back!

There is no direct link, its always in their sales paper. You have to go into the store for the CC details. The $100 is for new card applicants who spend $400 on their first purchase. Ask the folks who have gone in the store, I just did this myself yesterday. Just because there is no link, doesn't mean its not true.......

Great deal, weak replacement plan.

Even though MicroCenter is only 20 minutes away, I am actually passing on this to get the Gears of War bundle at Costco.

More locations, no extra $ for replacement plan, and Costco has the BEST return policy ever!

And, we shouldn't fool ourselves into thinking we will definitely not need a replacement plan

Whats the replacement plan at Microcenter?

I believe it's 1 replacement during the course of the plan and that's it.

1 problem, ok
2 problems, sorrrrryyy

Why not just buy it at Micro Center and use the Walmart Replacement Policy?

Just go to Walmart, buy a new 360 with cash, put the broken one in the box, and then return it.

that sounds coolio.

"Do a barrel roll!"

Got my Premium in Tustin last night with the -$100 rebate and -$100 credit card deal. Sweet!

is this a good buy? anyone gotten Microcenter rebates to work?

Microcenter is based out of Hilliard, OH a suburb of Columbus. You can rest assured that Ohio Legislators are Nazis when it comes to protecting the consumers. They do not let businesses get away with anything that might hurt the consumer. It because of this that I always get my rebates back quickly from Microcenter.

Is there a way to tell if it's a new or refurb box when I am picking the 360 in the micro center store without opening the box?

So do you get a rebate form at the store? Because the form online is only good through today.

Planning on stopping by and getting one tomorrow..

They don't have refurbs on the display pile. No idea where this came from.

They will print you out a rebate at the register. The promo is extended through the holidays (I believe on through the 30th). The $100 cash back from the CC deal, works through Bank of America. You have to call in to ensure you get the bonus points for spending over $399 on your first purchase.

So I can still get in on this deal?! Since Im unable to get a Wii so far I may have to get this instead. I won't do the cc deal but the $100 rebate is good enough. The nearest Microcenter is almost 2hours away. How does their stock look on the premium editions? Also is the best deal where going to see on the XBox 360 this year?

I can't speak for your Microcenter, unless you live in New England (there is only one here), but the stock of 360s at mine was very healthy. This is something like the 3rd week of the deal, and when I was there, there were 10+ people buying X360s, and they still had 20+ premiums left, and some cores. I would imagine they get in shipments weekly.

This is probably the best deal going into the holidays for the system.

Went to the Microcenter in Santa Clara, CA on Saturday and picked up a 360 premium. Most of the people there that night were holding 360s. I did the credit card deal, too. Thanks OP.

Yeah, I picked up the 360 about 3-4 weeks ago at Microcenter. Since then, everytime i've been there, I've seen no less than 5 people in my visits buy 360's each time. When i was out there for black friday, 1 out of every 3 people were buying 360's. Pretty crazy, and pretty popular deal.

Nice to hear, i'm heading to the one in Tustin tonight. How long did the credit verification take?

Because that is not nice.

It took me like 5-10 mins to fill out. Then waited for like 15-20 minutes to hear back from them, there was 2-3 other people there signing up for it, too, holding their 360s. I had to grab the xbox 360 first cuz i didnt wan't them to run out lol. But then again this was at night time, at around 8pm, and store closed at 9pm. Good luck!

I got mine yesterday. It took about 30 minutes total. For those people forgoing the extended warranty: It took all but 10 minutes for the X-Crash to.... crash to the red-beam of death. Updated the Dashboard first, then installed the HD-DVD software, then after playing a movie i played Gears of War only to see it crash during the opening movie seen after starting a new game. It "cleared" up after a reboot, but it doesn't bode well. I made the mistake of not buying the VGA cable at microcenter (it was marked up), but i'll be damned if i could find it anywhere else. If you people need a VGA cable, just buy it from there.

The warranty on it DOES suck. I'm glad i bought an extended one.

Hmmm.. mine is running fine and the first 2 days I was only playing Gears of War with it. Now it's on 24/7 cuz im too lazy to turn it off. I bought that extra 1 year warranty in case anything happened. Hope it crashes so I can get a new one lol. :p

That's called illegal, douchebaggish, and stupid.
I don't know about the Wal-Mart near you, but when I worked there the serial number of the 360's were recorded on the receipts. For everyone's sake, I hope they record them where you live as well.

If someone picks one up with the credit card for another one hundred off I'll pay you 50$ + cost of 360... any takers? Please PM if you can hook me up. There are no microcenter stores around me.

There's a Microcenter about 10 minutes from here, but personally I'm waiting a few months to see if the xbox 360's HDMI rumors come true. Can't imagine that with the availability of the HD-DVD add on already that it won't happen...

can't you just use DVI to HDMI adapter? Unless the add on HDCP support but I think the drive itself has that so??? I'd imagine before all content is protected the next best thing will be out... so wanna pick me up one?
