It is my winter break from college so I drove back home and packed up my speakers (they were working fine before the trip), I put the speakers in the car with no problems (didn't drop it, didn't jerk harshly etc), I get home and set up the speakers and to my suprise my front left speakers as well as 1 other (not nearly as bad) has nasty crackling (I tried differen't speakers in the rca jack and they do the same thing, I also tried the crackling speakers in another jack and they work fine), when I turn the volume up or down you hear a quick "pop" from the sub and the crackling speaker... I tried plugging my laptop in and the same thing, I also unplugged the connections from my computer and tried changing the volume, same popping problem...my question is what would cause this, is there a fix? and am I going to have to buy new speakers?

edit
I just found out that the Z-5300e's have a 2 year warranty, I bought mine in august of 2005 so I am covered! That takes a load off of my shoulders, but I still don't want to pay for shipping, so if anyone has some ideas shoot them my way!

Could be a loose connection inside the sub to that specific jack, try another working speaker in the same jack

i.e if its the front left hook the rear left in, if its same problem its probably loose connection, or something else

if u narrow it down to the sub u can save on shipping anyways

yup the same thing happens so the speakers seem fine

how can I fix an internal lose connection?

I wouldnt suggest trying to open it up... i would just e-mail logitech and ask them what it could be.... there could be a lot of reasons that line to that speaker(s) isnt working..... just e-mail logitech and see what they suggest....

logitech requires you to call in for RMA requests so I think that is what i'm going to do tomorrow

does anyone have any expereiences with logitech RMA's? (quality and how long it took for a replacement?)
