Wii restocks?

I'm right with you guys. My story is a few posts up but I have an update.

So I'm at work and call up the Toys R Us that I visited this morning at 5am.... They tell me they have 2 in stock, but you need to buy a bundle with Zelda, Tony Hawk, and one other game of your choice, along with a warranty for $450 bucks... I figure it's a decent deal, and I was planning on picking up Zelda anyway, so I hop in the car immediately, speed my ass over there in under 15 minutes, parking just in time to see a guy walking out with a bag in his hand and a Wii inside...I walk in to the store, run to the video game section, and they inform me that they just sold the last one.....

Apparently they got of shipment of at least 10-20 Wiis some time this afternoon, even though I was there way early hoping to beat the rush. If I'd called an hour earlier, I almost definitely would have gotten one, but now I'm back at work pissed, tired and annoyed. :(

Minnesota - Minnetonka had some! NOW I HAVE A WII

I called earlier and they told me they didn't have any, but based on some other information I stopped by and they just received a shipment. They said they had like 40 left when I grabbed mine (sadly they didn't get restocked on any controllers)
 
My Toys R' Us is pissing me off. They said that they'd for sure be getting a shipment on saturday morning, so i'm all psyched to camp out at 6 in the morning, then I call again today and they say they got some in TODAY, but were sold out by the time I called! So I'm like "okay this is BS" and I ask if they're getting more for Saturday morning still and the guy says "We hope" :(
 
i just tried calling my toysrus and they are only available to people who got rain checks :(
 
Anyone know if there will be a solid supply for Gamestop by lets say by the beginning of December to mid December online orders or store walkin? The bundle prices are ridiculous at some of the other retailers.
 
That will depend mostly on demand. Nintendo plans to ship more than 4 million by year end. I guess the question is 'Will that be enough?'

I have a feeling that they're going to be coming off the shelves nearly as fast as they can stock them, but who knows.

Big question I don't see being asked a lot is about the controllers as well. Finding extra controllers has been real hard. I really don't want to wait in line for a while like everyone trying to get a system for a while outside a store either.
 
I called a best buy.. they told me they are expecting more on sunday...

but i can't go cause i have to leave my parents house on sunday to go back to school... bleh...
 
I just got a Wii from the Toys R Us in national city!!! they have a few units left.
 
I guess i have no choice but to stalk the Gamestop near my job everyday at the same time and hope i get lucky.

The guy acted like he was going to ring me up without any games but I wanted to buy 2 and an extra controller.

You would think that when they are shipping out so many systems that pretty quick they will be readily available to walk in and buy at any time no?
 
I've been probably 20 places today with no luck.

Toys R Us got like 180 something in this afternoon but won't sell them unless you have a raincheck because they have like 260 outstanding rainchecks, the manager said no go to me like 3 different times today when I was there.

Maybe if I don't try so hard I'll just happen to find one, problem is I needed it for thursday, but that's past and now I need it for my LAN party tomorrow, and after that I need it so my roomies and I can still play Mario Party and Mario Kart now that I've sold my GameCube...

Yup... I've been shut down so much today it's starting to make my mom sad and even she was out there trying to get one for me too. We each drove all over, I had 100$ cash to help persuade others to sell me theres. I'm trying too hard I guess...

Dude if you are willing to drop an extra 100 bucks then get one on ebay. You can get them overnighted for less then 350. I know it is not the cheapest route but you would have it tuesday if you ordered it over the weekand. My advise would be call around or check real early sunday to see if best buy or anyothers held units for sale that day and try to pick one up. If you can find one then order one off ebay. You get one overnighted off ebay and you can have it tuesday. Another option would be to check craigslist and see if anyone local is selling one semi reasonable.

Let me get this math straight... the cheapest one on eBay right now is $365 and overnight shipping is definitely not free, so how does that equal out to less than $350?

180 =O the toysrus in times square lol? I know they got an absurd amount at launch too, something like 7K (yes 7,000)

Yeah pretty crazy! I scored one a few hours ago from a guy for 300! Yup, a measly 20$ more than retail+tax! His roommate bought one too so he decided to sell it was like a match made in heaven. I refreshed craigslist in my searching for a Wii, his shows up, it's like a 5 second old listing, I email him my phone number and willingness to drive to pick it up. We meet about 20 minutes later at a Top Food parking lot cash in hand and Wii to trade and it worked out fine! I had a friend with me just in case. I'm so happy! I stopped by Toys R Us on my way home despite their willingness to sell me the actual console, and bought Zelda from them, mostly because it was on my way home and I knew they had a ton of them.

Woot! I got mine!

Nice score! These things seem to be a lot harder to get than people thought (I always thought it would likely be harder to get, but most believed otherwise). I got mine on launch day and have loved it still :).

P.S. Zelda: Twilight Princess is incredible, though the first hour and a half wasn't anywhere near as good as the other 10 or so have been ;).
 
Bleh, just bought an Xbox360 instead. I'll just wait a couple months until they make more, there just aren't any Wiis out there.

Gotta watch them. I got one last sunday for 340 or 345 shipped overnight. One of my friends got one for around 330 with 2 day air like tuesday. We both one are auctions very late at night.

You could probably get them for around that near launch day but as it nears Christmas and everyone wants one, I wouldn't be surprised if it continually goes up.

You make it sound like a downgrade. I would definitely choose 360 over Wii.
 
So whats the verdict onthe best buys having them tomorow? might camp out if this is a sure thing.
 
Best Buys should definitely have them, it's in their circular. Says minimum of 12 per store for most areas, but I've heard from someone on the inside that most stores are going to have roughly 2/3 the quantity that they had for launch day. Most Best Buys are telling people to get to the store a few hours early if they want a shot at getting one. Unfortunately, I've got to be on a plane at 12:40, which means I have to leave home at 9:30...so no waiting in line for me =( I'll probably just order one off ebay and let that be that.
 
Bestbuy opens at 10am this Sunday right? Guess maybe I will get there early too. Anyone know how many best buy had on average at launch. I don't want to wait in line for a few hours if I don't think I might get one.

Called every Best Buy in my area. 4 total. All said they would have them 3 wouldn't tell me how many, 1 says they will have 50-51. No campers yet at any of them. I will be camping at 6am or so. Need to goand rent a movie to watch.

Monroeville, PA one said that there will be a lot more than 12. They are doing the ticket thing again. I plan on showing up around 8-8:30am for opening at 10am.
 
Can you just buy the system alone from Best Buy or do they make you buy games with it like some other stores are making people do ?
 
Just got back from Best Buy (Princeton, NJ). Store hasn't even closed and already there are 10+ people waiting in line. I think that store is getting roughly 50 units. Too bad they don't open until 10, and I've gotta be on the way to the airport by then.
 
Jesus, not a good sign. I'm headin over to BB in East Brunswick, NJ in the morning. I was hoping to get there an hour or 2 early and snag one.
 
I think the two stores in central jersey that are getting the most are the Princeton one and the one in Bridgewater. That was the trend for the initial launch, where they both got 80+ units.
 
i was planning on waking up early and heading to bridgewater... but i just played a wii and at this point, i dont think its worth it to pay 300 bucks to play zelda and a few wonky sports games...

Just a heads up. My store here in Northeast Ohio opens at 9:00am. Couple people have mentioned 10:00am, just wondering if they actually called and checked.

The good games at the moment are Zelda:TP, Rayman:Raving Rabbits, Marvel: UA, Red Steel (it is good once you get past the very steep learning curve), Excite Truck, and some people will like Super Monkey Ball if they want twitch-action gameplay. Also, Trauma Center: Second Opinion is supposed to be stellar. I own Zelda, Rayman, Marvel, and Excite Truck, I plan on buying Trauma Center next. The Wii Sports is more fun than it looks initially, too ;).
 
I plan on getting at my local BB by 8AM and it opens at 9AM. Am I totally out of luck? I hear people lining up way ahead of schedule already.
 
Leaving work for walmart and target in about 45 minutes, i'll hit BB once i'm done there, I'm on a Wiimote and nunchuk hunt this morning.
