hey guys im halfway through my build and the ram i had ordered (Corsair 8500c5) got delayed until at least the 5th december so i was looking at alternatives, im looking at high frequency, specs are in signature.

I saw the OCZ Titanium Alpha VX2 PC2-8000 for around US$550 (cheapest in Australia) is this a good choice or is there something better out there, i dont want to spend insane amounts of money for my ram. Should i wait for the corsair 8500c5 (US$430) to get back in stock?

thanks for any help

i searched all of those and couldnt find the corsair 8500c5 or 8500c5d in stock, where did you see them in stock?, thanks

ok ok thanks a bunch!! is there any major difference between the dominator and xms2?

The Dominator can handle higher voltages and will cool more efficiently. Head to head, the exact same memory in Dominator form will OC better than those same ICs on an XMS2 PCB + heat spreader combo.

only the 8500c5 (US$418.75) is in stock should i just get that? or wait until the corsair 8500c5d comes in stock which will be US$450.70?

The price is close enough that if you are patient and want to wait, I'd get the Dominator. However, if you are in a hurry, you can't go wrong with the regular 8500C5.

At this time, I have no idea if we will ever make the 8500C5 in a Pro (LED) model. For now, it seems like you can get the "regular" or the Dominator.

Not to worry i just ordered the corsair pc9136c5d!!! 2x 1024mb!

One bad thing though is that i have to send back the Corsair HX620W powersupply i just bought, none of the modular connecters work, can't power VGA card, HDD's, Opticals.
