So with the 2007WFP now mostly shipping with S-PVA panels I've become to reconsider. Just today I learned that I could get the Westinghouse LVM-37W3 for just $500 through my dad's distributor (he runs a small home theater company). Would that be the better buy? Resolution is the same, but does the Westinghouse's larger size decrease "fineness" by a lot over the 2007WFP? What panel does the Westinghouse use? Does it have a 1:1 mode? How easy is it to use the Westinghouse as both a monitor and a TV?

Bottom line, S-PVA 2007WFP or Westinghouse LVM-37W3?

Thank you very much.

Westinghouse, no freaking comparison! Read up on the popular Westinghouse thread here.

Its also an S-PVA, I believe.

A 37" for under $500? I can't believe this is even an issue.. :p

edit- if you can't tell, my vote is for the Westy

If you can get a lvm37w3 for 500 bucks I need to get a hold of you =)

How does one use a 37" monitor exactly? Is it possible to be in the same state with it?

Oh my god, through the distributor?! How many panels are you allowed to buy? If possible, I would send you the money for shipping and the monitor itself + a little money for you. Do you think you can do it?

Holy Crap. I can't believe you are asking this. The Westinghouse will blow the 2007 out of the water and eat it for lunch.

Dude, seriously. get the Westinghouse. I have 2 friends that bought it and I have seen one of them. It is nice! My other friend is at A&M but he said he's bringing it back home for our annual winter LAN. Bastards... :p

Westinghouse hands down.

the westinghouse uses a P-MVA i think. I prefer MVA since they are better suited for motion (movies, dvds, etc) since they have the least amount of shimmering than other panel techs. Everything else is about the same save PVA is prone to input lag and the angles differ some.

The Westinghouse is a steal at $500. Even if the 2007WFP was S-IPS I would choose the Westinghouse over it at that low of a price.

Alright, thanks guys. I think my mind's made up.

And sorry to say, my dad might find it odd for me to be asking to order multiple of these for people, sorry.
