Hi again !!! Well i think i deleted Bios by mistake, atleast i deleted something in Asus EZ Flash 2 utility, now when i enter it ,it is Empty ,before i could see there path's with some lines but now it is empty , i tryed all the ways which i found in User Guide how to update or recover Bios, didn't work i got all the time some errors, and since my floppy Drive is broken atm, i can't use it,but i did try it with my USB flash disk though,i might done something wrong since i dont know much about Bios and i am doing most of the things in it first time, so could someone ,write step by step what should i do, what should i write, to update or recover BIOS, and how .
And how can i make bootable usb flash disk, couse the only thing i did with it was downloaded latest Bios from Asus.com , copyed it to usb disk together with afudus.exe, and tryed to run it, but it didnt work , what shall i do ?
Please any profesional help would be appreciated.
btw i am using it with my new conroe 2.4ghz proc. but i dont think problem is there, just need to fix Bios !

my floppy drive wont work dunno what happend , when i check in device manager it says floppy drive works without any problems, but when i insert discket it says Please insert Disk into Drive A , but there is one already ,and everything is connected, tryed on bouth mobos, douesnt work ,but can see eaven light on front panel that it works! 8[ BTW i updated BIOS , but still cant load my sistem 8[ !

Is the floppy connected properly? If the light is always on, the cable is flipped in the wrong direction.

yes the green light is on all the time! 4 pin power cable or the small one? lol thx for that !The u go upcomming stuff, please take ur time and read it!

Well never is too late to do it first time, beter later than never,is in it that true? So why i cant i load my sistem then? I checked the BIOS version i updated which is 1506 , i also Enabled 32Bit Data transfer in BIOS SETUP UTILITY , tryed with enabled and disabled doesn't make realy difference! SO when i swich on my computer and wait untill screen shows to me:

a} Run Windows in Safe Mde
b}Start Windows with Network
c}--------------- without network
d}Start Windows Normaly , something like that : So it Doesn't matter which option i pick Sistem will restart anyway's :/

So if BIOS is Fine, it should be motherboards update's fault, so how can i update it ?
o) I Changed Boot priority in Boot menu ,to start with CD, i turn on pc, i wait then when it start's reading CD...........after a while i see on my screen :

Welcome to Asus Motherboards make Disk For DOS Menu

a)Make Intl ICH7 32bit Raid Driver Disk
b)Make Intel ICH7 64bit Raid Driver Disk
c)JMicron JMB36X 32/64bit Raid Driver
d)JMicron JMB36X 32/64bit Raid Driver
e)FRee Dos command promt
please shoose a:-e:
If i choose{ a} , it say's: Please Insert formated floppy A:/ (Why?And which one, i updated BIOS with USB Flash disk, and my floppy Drive doesn't work atm}, so i just pressed Enter to check what's gona happen ,next thing what i see on top of my screen is :
XXCOPY FReeware=Version 2.92.6 (c)1995-2005 Pixelab,Inc , cant do anything :/
if i choose{e}, it show's on my screen following:
Welcome to FreeDos(www.freedos.org)!
C:/> "So what i have to type in here?}" IF i try with my BIOS name or something it just say's bad command or filename.............

SO The last question's. How do i Start my Windows, and why it wont start, AND why my support CD can't update motherboards drivers autmaticly ,if thats the reason why i cant start it ??????????????
sorry for my English, its not my first language! 8[

p.s. kirbyrj u got exactly same sistem i got , only i got older video card, everything als same ,eaven sound card !lol ohh and RAM is same only OCZ2x1gb PC5400 667 GX XTC

ok...it looks like you're running the right bios, so you're good there.

In your bios, you have it setup to boot off of your CD. If you're going to boot off of your CD, take your Asus CD out of the drive and then try and boot into Windows. You have to be in Windows before you can load any drivers off the CD. What you are seeing is the boot menu to make a floppy drive for the various RAID setups you can use to setup WinXP/2000 (i.e. Press F6 when setting up Windows to load a RAID driver).

So basically, you want your computer to boot first off of a CD, then off of a HDD. Make sure you also set your HDD priority in bios.

Hi -VaiRo-,

Your computer is restarting in the startup phase, so I suggest doing a repair install.

Make sure that your original Windows CD is in the CD/DVD ROM when you turn the computer on and press any key when prompted. You will be taken to the windows setup screen. Choose to Install Microsoft Windows and then accept the license agreement. Next choose to Repair the installation by pressing the R key.

This will reinstall windows for you whilst retaining all your files and settings.

If you don't have these options straight away (the option to do a repair install) then you may have a problem with the data structure of your hard drive or the HDD itself.

In this case you will need to use the recovery console and type in the command chkdsk /r to correct any issues with the hard disk drive.

I hope this helps.

Cheers.

Definitely do a repair install if you can. Sorry I missed the part about it not booting into Windows  .

oki thx i try it when i am back from work ,thax very much for info and help!
