How do you tell the physical difference between PCI and AGP?

That's a PCI card. PCI comes in 3 flavors for 32bit. You've got 5 volt (2 tabs, typical on desktop), 3.3volt (2 Tabs, you'll see this on servers more) and then a "universal" 32 bit card (3 tabs and will work in either slot).

Wait, are you tellin me that those 3 tabs will work in a regular PCI slot?

My god.. I just went to a friend's house who lives 2 hours away, because he told me he has a PCI card that I could use. When I saw it, it had 2 gaps so I though "well shit, I came out here for nothing because this idiot didn't know the difference between AGP and PCI". Looks like it was me who was the idiot. SHIT I AM SO FUCKING STUPID.

On a side note about different slots. I had a fuckstick at work kill my only 4 way server platform by plugging a 5 volt PCI card into a 3.3 volt slot. The ONLY way for him to do this was to install the card in backwards. When you do that it shorts 5 volts to the 3.3bolt line and you get a VERY dead board. Pissed me off something fierce. LOL

PCI-E and PCI cards all have straight lines of connectors along the bottom of the card, a single line from top to bottom of the connector.

AGP cards have two lines of connectors, one on top of the other, crammed in on the same area.
