yeah the cops chase you and you unlock the cop cars to use along with a firetruck and a dumptruck
 
There are cops but no bounty chases. Think putting MW and UG2 in a blender. The cops like to try to break up races.

Getting Bounty was my fav thing to do in MW. Guess i'll pass on Carbon then. Damn i was looking forward to playing this game too.

Theses are the cars im using ATM. Running at 1680*1050 with everything maxed, but with motion blur off. These pics were then resized in Photoshop, but seem to have ended up a bit darker than they are in game. Weird.

NFS:porshe is the sh**! Glad to hear someone remembers that game. If there's anything I liked from the new NFS games, is the drifting on the first NFS:Underground

Made it all the way to the Stacked Deck section of the city using this car. Though one of the Crew War races after I beat Wolf is impossible with it.

Current (next) car is the SRT-8 Charger, but it's still stock exterior, so I won't post it. Though things aren't much easier with this car either...
 
I just finished all the challenges, gotta start the career mode and then make some sick cars.

That's what I use.

Apparently you can take photos that upload to needforspeed.com, but I haven't been able to find where on the site they get uploaded to.

i think he's poking fun at paris hiltons ride, but nonetheless the mclaren is sex. only car i got was z06 but they made it into a muscle handling pos, i hate ea. Damn thing laps a carrera gt at norschleife yet cant handle for a fucking cheesy poof. I'll post my rides later today.

This game wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be :eek:

Definitely a step up from Most Wanted, in my opinion!

Drifting was a bit of a puzzle for me until I figured out the game countersteers for you. So you just hit the gas and the direction you want to drift in, and it'll drift for you. 300,000+ drift scores on the first two drift courses weren't that hard.
 
How do you guys switch cars to beat the game with???

I started with the muscle car and I only have a choice of 2 cars, the camaro or the dodge, how can I switch to a different car to beat the game???

is there a way to turn off the auto countersteering? it would kinda suck if you couldnt, as i was a drifting pr0 in underground 1 and 2 and dont want to relearn my masterful sk1llz :p.
 
My brother bought the Collectors edition for the PS2. I agree this game is a lot of fun. I started off the game with the Camero SS and finished off with the Dodge Challenger. If only I could post a pic of my car. You can widen the wheels in the auto sculpt section.

I don't think there is, I haven't seen any options like that.

for teh final 5 minutes of the pursuit i had 3 popped tires. then 2 mnutes later i had 4 popped tires!!

OMG it was insanity as I was going like 75-85 mph and hitting nitrous to get away LOL it felt like it was never gonna end!! till i finally got the casino/vegas lookin area and got the final zo6 smashed up and then went and hide in the bottom of that garage LOL
 
I dunno what you guys think, but I think EA could of done better on the car models. I just don't see much detail at all.

You've got that right, the car models/details/lighting aren't great at all when compared to what else is out there. But it's EA, so I dropped my expectations accordingly ;)
 
if EA wanted to get things right...

the BMW M3 GTR wouldn't be the fastest car in the game LOL

i love how no matter what I can catch up and pass just bout every car including uber fast Carerra GTs, Ford GTs, Konigessegggsgesegs CCX, the McLearn SLR lolol

but watever the M3 GTR is nice as hell
 
So, judging by all of these screenshots, I guess there is no daylight in this game at all. :(
 
Seems that way. Damnit. I got really tired of driving in the dark in Underground and Underground 2. Playing Most Wanted, in the daytime, was excellent. I have nothing against the occasional night-race, but damnit, the whole game shouldn't be that stinking limited.

sweet u can drive with popped tires now!!!1!!1 i remember how in most wanted if u hit a spikestrip, u were done no matter what. this should make pursuits more fun :D.

also, in most wanted i once got 3.5 million bounty in one level 5 pursuit with an aston matrin db9 that lasted almost a half hour. has anyone done better than that?
 
Haha, nice Blown 89. I have a problem with this game though, mw played so much better, I can't seem to get a good configuration for carbon so it looks good and plays good.
