Ok I jsut got in my new 22" Sceptre x22 Gamer Widescreen LCD. This is my first Lcd screen and holy crap what a change. Im kind of in a rush now so I cant go in detail but theres a few quick questions I have. 1) Why is this thing so bright!? lol. I tired fiddlign with the contrast and black levels but its still hurting my eyes somewhat. 2) How do you guys adjust ur lcd settings? 3)What will a better graphics card due? Will it affect the colors at all?

Aside from fixing the grammar, you can also turn down the brightness level on the monitor. The brightness symbol is usually a sun.

I told you I'm in a rush. I dont really care about my grammar at this point. There seems to be no brightness setting. Only contrast and black level.

It doesn't have a brightness control? Give us a link to what the monitor's controls look like.

Black level IS the brightness control...just a different name for it.

I had to turn my brightness almost all the way down whe I got my X20G. I have it set at 18 out of 100. At anything over 22 it's just too bright. Then the contrast I had to turn down to 215 out of 255. It looks perfect for me now.

LCD manufacturers like to blind people with overly bright whites which gives the illusion that blacks are blacker than they really are.
Turn the brightness down to reveal what the blacks really are, a dark grey with silver overtones.
