Let's face it, Halo 2 isn't going to cause a frenzy in PC gaming. It's a straight shooter with nothing new, and it's getting old. Most folks finished that game off a year ago.

who says they havent? lol im sure Halo 3 will be a DX10 masterpiece tho lol
 
Halo 2 using DX10??? Man, if we can remember the horrible gfx optimization used with the original Halo for PC, Halo 2 will probably require two of R600 GPU's in Crossfire to be able to play it at 1024x768, in "DirectX10" mode only, and require even more power if trying to play it in DX9 mode. Talk about horrible optimizations here.. much worse than that of Oblivion! Halo didn't look that great.. it looked much worse than UT2003 or UT2004 and still needed DX9 with uber video cards.

yea i dont know wtf was up with halo. if halo2/3 are that bad id think the lack of optimization was just intentional.
 
I'm very much use to this being a veteran gamer. Just gives us a more polished product in the end.

in all seriousness i cant think of a highly anticipated title that wasn't delayed for a while. its worth it, for example, twilight princess for the wii, not a fps, but im willing to bet it becomes one of the best games of all time and all because of the delay. if anything, a delay is a blessing.
 
Huh. According to that link, EA decided to push the release date back. Perhaps they figured out a new way to incorporate adds into the game? Or maybe it had too many maps and they felt they should take some out? :p

Yeah!... probably Microsoft's idea to try to make the PC look bad compared to the Xbox, so that more people will decide to buy their Xboxes instead of PC games.

Sweet lord I just bought far cry to try a few months ago. When I get a new PC there's going to be a pretty solid amount of catchup to be played.
 
its too bad. i hate waiting.

but bioshock is still on time. i've been waiting for that since i left the body of the many almost 7 years ago. a few more months doesn't seem so bad if its good.
 
W/o a huge DX 10 title in the wings very close.. theres not much of a reason to upgrade from a 7xxx card up to the G80. I was also one of them that was goign to buy a G80 instead of waiting for the R600 almost entirely becase of Crysis. It looks amazin. Games coming up are a great way to sell a video card. One big thing. without crysis sitting in my hand. theres no reason for me to go up to Vista over XP. Since I wont be needing DX10. My XP has served me well.

Or you could do the hip rebellious thing and spell cry like cri, then we'd all gaze in awe at your cleverness.
