This is my first try at getting into the database.
I'm really pumped that I was able to do this without increasing the vCore.
My idle temp is 50C. I've had this higher, but I don't like running over 60C.

Hi
Isn't Orthos stressed both core at same time?
If not explain it to me plz .
Thank you

what about my 3840mhz dual prime? Also, can you remove my 3680mhz. That cpu is long gone, and i need room for the new one :) .

Also the 4084 was @ 1.6v, and 3840mhz @ 1.54v and ram @ 960 4-5-4-4 2.15v

Was the 3840MHz primed for over 4 hours? You did not say. I see two very long Prime windows though...

I would like to keep your old CPU in the database. You will get three entries in the main database with your new CPU.

Thanks for the voltage info sir, you shall see that next time I update.

One question that I could not see answered anywhere. The 3.9Ghz numbers given is that basically 1.95ghz per core or is that both cores running at 3.9? Reason I am curious is that is a lot of processing power 7.8ghz and when the 45nm Quad cores hit if they can post some decent overclocks even at 3 ghz that is 12ghz of processing umph! Any help is appreciated. The fear I have is obviously a quad core at 3ghz, better not be each core at 750mhz. If it is I will stick with dual core. Anyways help shed an ounce of light I would appreciate it. I guess the AMD naming convention and actual speeds has me all confused.

Thanks you!

- Edit: From the looks of the pictures that is each core at those clocks... So quad cores at 2.8ghz is going to be a monster. 45nm quad cores in mid 07.. oye now the wait!

Each core is running at the full speed... so, 3.9 = 3.9 per core (7.8ghz total)

I don't want to page through 40 pages of this thread. Does anyone have any good CPU HSF's they recommend for the Gigabyte's board layout?

I have the DS3 and just installed a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro today. Dropped my load temps more than 20C, although I think I had a crappy Intel HSF. I'm now running Orthos at 46C @ 3.115GHz with a 1.2875 vCore.

Hey Mentok, how does the 3 submission rule work? This is my 3rd on this system, but I just installed my new cooler yesterday and submitted my first overclock with it 2 posts above this one. Do you just remove the lowest ones as we go higher?

Thanks,
Rich

This is the max of this board... raising the FSB even one notch results in prime failing at any voltage :(
I still have a lot of work to do to get all the voltages down to their minimums but I was after the max OC...

You have three results for your current CPU and motherboard right now. If you provide
another result, your lowest result will be removed.

3 results per setup.
A setup equals a CPU and a motherboard.

Example:
E6300 L623 A453 Asus P5B can be Bob's first setup, for which he can have 3 results
E6300 L630 A853 Asus P5B can be Bob's 2nd setup, for which he can have 3 results
E6300 L623 A453 Asus P5W DH DL can be Bob's 3rd setup, for which he can have 3 results
