Anyone own one? How do you like it? What model?

I know the most popular seems to be the saitek. I have read several reviews and see alot of complaints about the paint wearing off. Anyone know anything this model or recommend any others. I want a keyboard I can use in a pitch black room. Ideally, I want an all black keyboard (including keys) with the characters illuminated with white light. Any ever see something like this?

I've had a saitek for about a year now. The only place where the paint is off is a small bit on the spacebar where it got banged around when I moved. I haven't had any paint wear issues.

What particular model do you have?

The keys are gold, but very close to white. This is a great keyboard, in my opinion...

Nice, I that is the closest that I have seen!!!

Each key has its own LED...that is REALLY what I was looking for. This is by far the best I have seen!

11. Typing Rate: Type up to 240 characters per second! Go that fast and still get the codes out in the right sequence. You cannot type this fast. Ever.
Hunh?

It's the Eclipse.I guess you'd call it the Eclipse 1 now that version 2 is out.

That is what I was wondering, Ididnt know if maybe version 2 held up better. I am starting to think that certain people just destroy keyboards.

In fairness I will say that it is likely that at some point in the future some of the paint will wear off of my keyboard- - probably on the space bar and the w/a/s/p keys (FPS games). Any keyboard that puts the paint on top of the key is going to have the paint wear off eventually.

But I use my keyboard a LOT, and I'm impressed that the paint still looks brand new.

I've had my eclipse for about a year and i love everything about it..(no paint wear)

Just one thing...my space bar is louder than the other keys... I almost hate pressing it. It seems like it iss loose or something. anyone else have that problem.(really annoying at night when Im trying to be quiet cause my dormmates asleep.

had my G15 for about 6 months now, working great.

And when the paint starts to come off ill simply touch it up with some model paint.

Eclipse 1 user here, no paint wear problems and no noisy keys. I love mine, especially compared to my friends g15, thats a big keyboard?! No thanks... and the deck you linked is $150! crazy money.. I'll keep my Saitek, thanks.

Love both of my G15's. Have had them both for almost a year. One gets abused constantly and still no faded keys...

It's a little louder on the upstroke than the other keys - -but not much, I didn't even really notice it until you asked - - probably due to the wire spring that the other keys don't use. I wonder if you dipped the part of the spring that contacts the spacebar in a very thin coating of tool dip, maybe that would quiet it down.

I suggest the g15, or the cheaper version that doesnt have the LCD if you dont care about that. My first G15 had paint wear problems.. but they shipped a new one to me free of charge, and it hasnt suffered the same problem. I guess they figured out what ever the problem was. Best of all I got to keep the old one, so I use it on my spare pc :)

i'm currently using the saitek eclipse 1 and still no problems. the paint on it still looks the same as the day i bought it. my roommate on the other hand has the same keyboard as me, but his wasd keys are pretty worn out due to a lot of games requiring those keys (a little too much wow). he is sometimes a little ruff with it, but other than that it still works like a charm.
