Man, you should make it TWO of 24" 2405FPW's in vertical pivot, side-by-side! That would give you a much better aspect ratio that is not far too wide (now being 20:16 or 5:4, the same ratio as 1280x1024).

instead of muffling the bass, why not turn it down using the handy dandy knob that's right above the hole?

LOL! I knew someone would ask that...
It's not because of muffling the bass, and it's not because of pretty much anything a person can think off!
I stuffed the paper in there because one day while playing CS:S I let my hamster roam on my desk and completly forgot about him. After like 45 min I was OH SHIT where's the hammy..and after searching for hours (he jumps of the desk whenever he gets the chance, actually walks down the wires hehe) couldn't find him. Then it struck me...I've got a woofer with a port...hmm! And whaddya know? the bastard is hiding in there! It took hours luring him out and unfortunantly he bit all the wires !
So that's the paper story. it comes out when i'm watching movies and such but it's in there most of the time so I don't forget!

You should get youself some Modders Mesh or MeshX and make a custom cover! That way it would look cool, keep the bass loud and keep your pet out

So you played CS:S for 45 minutes with the hamster in the sub, and he survived? Your sub is definitely turned down too low

Hahah yeah only if that subwoofer was connected to the computer
.That sub is for the mini 5.1 surround for the main tv, so no animals were harmed when I was playing CS. It's only sitting on my computer desk because i've got a tiny room

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm very happy with my current setup. The Desk is huge with plently of room. One thing though.....the desk is made to be oppposite of how I have it, as in the bow part faces away from you. I just mounted the top flipped so the bow is facing me.
