Damn, that's sexy. I much prefer the right angles to that ridiculous curvy design they went with.

I agree, that is very sleek. the stand looks alittle funny though.

Yeah, that's a tidy bit of engineering right there. Of course, you can't tell the scale on it and it's actually 3 foot tall but no matter.... :D

That looks much better then the design they have now, in my opinion. The PS3 kind of looks like the first VCR my parents bought, except bulging out on the top. :)

One of the best concepts I have ever seen for a console.

My only complaint is it lacks a little flair.

I don't get why they don't ask the community which design the like best before making it.

Obviously a majority would prefer this... But instead some random guy gets inspiration from a refrigerator and models the PS3 after that.

Hehe...try Geroge Foreman's grill  :p

Shut up, George's grills rules. I use mine all the time. Watching all that fat slide away is amazing sometimes.

Seriously, don't diss the grills man. Those things are amazing.

At a quick glance, it almost looked like an external HD. I like the looks of it.

Too much crap is stuffed into the current PS3, it'll be a while before they can slim that thing down. I agree though, thats much better looking.

With its patented design, the fat drains directly into my mouth.

Gotta love it! :D

Meh, the glossy-black look is starting to go out of style. It was cool when the ipod used it. It was kinda cool when vista adopted it. It got long in the tooth when Wii, WMP, and everything else went on the bandwagon.

Look at the new ipod nanos, or the new iTunes-- the black-glossy look is over, people.

There is no room in there for the inevitably large heatsinks needed to keep the thing quiet. As was said earlier there was not way they would be able to get the PS3 that small.

And especially since the real PS3 is black-glossy, and every photo I see of one shows lots of natsy fingerprints smeared all over it. It looks nice, as long as you never touch it.

I'm sure there'll be sony branded white cotton gloves available as an official accessory for like $75 soon after launch. :p

But anyway, as others have said, that's the Sony Locationfree player, already available for purchase (Here in Europe anyway).

It's a Slingbox ripoff, just more expensive and probably more restrictive.

Funny thing is, I had never heard of that LocationFree player until yesterday when there was a short blurb in the news (local talk radio) about it being delayed "..for more testing", which they then went on to say "this comes in the wake of other recent Sony delays with it's Playstation 3 video game console". I was a bit surprised that this thing would make the news, but it almost seemed like they were using it as a springboard to report on the recent trend of Sony setbacks, even though they never came out and made that point specifically.
