IS this the same as my E6300 but with 4mb cache?

Should try it? You want to buy it for me, then I will :D I have no money, oh ya, I also have no job :(

Hey, I wonder if these Xeons will be like the Optys, good overclockers since they are made for a longer lifespan? Someone try it!

we can only hope

The box itself says 2mb of cache. Newegg just likes to misrepresent stuff to sell it, I guess.

Oh, that sucks. I was going to buy this to see whats up with the 4mb cache seen, but not anymore, I already have an E6300.

I clicked on the link at the top of the thread which took me to N'egg's site. From that page I clicked on the link to the Manufacturer's Product Page. That page says 4M cache. Still confusing.

anyone know how those things OC??

and do they work in regular MBs?

Maybe that's a Typo too! These are supposed to be Socket 771

These definately have 4 megs of cache, Intel confirmed that their packaging was incorrect. I'm thinking of getting one but I still need to find out if they'll work on the DS3.

Huh. Have we stumbled upon the ultimate overclocker or something? SOMEONE GET ONE, NOW! :D

Well go ahead and talk to the nice folks at Intel and they'll tell you otherwise, thanks.
