ive never heard of anyone doing that.

abit. if u dont have it they charge u i forgot like 25 or something.

DFI and ASUS as well.

I recently RMA'd an Ultra-D. Had to show them the invoice. Same with Asus. Even though it's an A8N32-Deluxe and full well within the warranty period. I actually didn't send the Asus off though, since it ended up being the CPU that was dead. Got a good cpu and the Asus board fired right up.

yeah Ntune does suck...

this is my XP 2700+ w/ agp 6600GT w/ Nforce 2 Ultra 400 (400MHz FSB i got running at a measily 250 T.T). this is what ntune tells me everytime i turn on:

"warning! Sli rendering has been disabled! if you do not enable SLi rendering you could suffer severe system performance loss!"

as for overclocking utilities, i do recomend you use msis Dual Cell in bios... if not.
speed fans pretty nice... but again any alteration to Mhz while windows is running, you never no if it actually happens... Ntune said i could push my FSB all the way up to 500MHz or something... so i got a tad suspicious.....

bios said it was running at 166...

Heh. Tyan requires the receipt AND charges you for the motherboard if you elect to have it advance replaced, at least until they receive the replacement back. Great company, huh?

I had some problems with my MSI mobo, but RMA'ed it to Newegg instead of MSI. Guess that was a mistake.

wierd thing is i got the same exact board back. so yea they fixed it instead of a alternate board.

I RMA'd 2 different ASUS items and neither time did they ask for a receipt. Within the past year too.

My experience was 3 weeks ago ;)
They gave me an RMA without it, but wanted the RMA form and a copy of the invoice included in the box when I sent the MB in. The same thing with DFI.

ASUS does the same thing, i think most companies do that so that you don't just run off with a free replacement, makes sense to me.

like me :D

I am currently in the middle of an RMA with ASUS, should receive my board back tommorow, and they never once mentioned or asked for a receipt. All they asked for was the serial number on the back of the board.

I hope I get a working board back :)

of course Tyan is gonna charge u for one there mobos those things are $500+ a piece

I must've gotten a jackass when I called Asus then. They wouldn't even give me the option of an advanced replacement or even cross-shipping and I even offered up a CC number to charge the board to until they got mine. Wouldn't do it though.

I agree that MSI RMA is awesome. I received a broken board from a friend because he didn't want to deal with it. I RMA'd it and sold it :p . All was done rather quickly, too.

Ditto. I RMAed a board that was in the last month of the warranty. Had it back in a little over a week. They just replaced the board. Awesome to deal with! No receipt or anything.

No offence but I have never had a problem with a motherboard since 1995 when I first got online. What is wrong with you guys?

OC too much maybe?

My cat killed one motherboard (Abit VP6) b/c his dumbass rubbed up against it and gave it the static shock from hell. My DFI board got taken out by my Powersupply when it went. Those are the only two boards I've ever RMA'd. Neither one my fault (well...maybe the one with the cat b/c I left it on his level...but his big dumb ass shouldn't have done it anyway).

so your statement of
What is wrong with you guys?
should be more like "What *happened* with your boards?" rather than what's wrong with them...because EVERYBODY has something wrong with them and most of the time the lists vary in detail and length...so that's a subject for genmay :p

Same here, all Asus wanted was the serial number and they said my mobo still under warranty.
