7900 GTO fan won't turn on, no video output

Hi all,

Just put together a new system. I had ordered a 7900GTO from mwave but it seems DOA. The fan won't turn on and I don't get any video on booting. Furthermore, my super lanboy doesn't have a speaker so I can't hear any beeps.

I've tried both pci-e slots on my board, but still no fan. I've also tried both pci-e power cables from the psu, and the 4-pin molex x2 -> pci-e connector adapater.

I'm going to a friend's house to do some more trouble shooting, but in the meantime does anyone have any suggestions? Is this definately DOA? System specs:

c2d e6600 on p5b deluxe, ultra v-series 600w psu, seagate 320gb 7200.10, soundblaster x-fi exterememusic, all in a super lanboy

could be doa or the video card isnt pushed fully in the slot

Turns out the gpu fan wasn't plugged in all the way....

as for no video, the ram i was using was too slow (ddr2 400). Everything works now, thanks!
