1.8V Core is really too much

BTW I ve noticed a quite large Vdroop on my "rev 2 " P5W DH DL -
in BIOS 1.525 means actually fluctuation between 1.472-1.488 . I was wondering why my CPU suddenly requires a bit more "juice " for the same clocks than before.

Completed 13H Orthos -OK @400x9

Anyone ?
Crappy circuitry, crappy sensor? Isn't there a Vdroop mod around?

Holy crap, I might go home this weekend and try to push my server more. I guess the old "try to keep load temps under 50C" really means nothing with these new chips. 94C!

Should hopefully have dead processor by tomorrow.

The temps are definitely wrong I would say that when it was on 94c it really was on about 65-70c , the HSF would be piping hot and even bottom of the board would be piping hot but it wasn't .Also I would start to see errors and would shut down on me but it kept on going .

My first stable OC.

Bios Version: F6
RAM brand: Mushkin
RAM rated speed: 6400
RAM actual speed: 850
Latency: 5-5-5-12 2.1v

Here are stable overclocks according to vcore:
vcore 1.3500 = 3200 MHz Coretemp = 57-59
vcore 1.4125 = 3336 MHz Coretemp = 63-64
vCore 1.4625 = 3400 MHz Coretemp = 65-66
So 3336 MHz and 3400 MHz are not worth for me since they exceede 60 C.

Looks like Sir mentok1982 has left us. :(

No one has posted any overclocks recently. I will update today with the four that have been
submitted since my last update.

Post no 600 sir. That is mine
:D

First of all, now you can dowload the database and play with it all you want! (Link removed, there
is a new link with the latest update.)

I am going to leave these here for a bit longer, maybe until I have time to do the sorts again.

I almost forgot! The colors in the below pics are used only to separate each motherboard
(or memory brand or CPU week) from the next. It does not mean the results are official or not.

Haha! Very nice man! The DB you sent me proved very useful! Just curious, everytime you update the DB, will you provide an updated DL link?

no i like the ass just the way it is , nature is the way forward , good one , the leaderboard and not the ass.

I got banned at my first website I went in a forum in and learnt a lesson , that wasbe nice and god willingly no one will have fight with you , also its all talk and things to learn , i am not out there to proove anything , if i can help someone i will if i somebody gets offended then say sorry and move on.

Now if you check i have survived about 900posts and not banned yet. If i do get banned then i will remember that in my next forum i join and this time i have to beat 900 posts to be better than last time, sometime ass licking is the way forward.

LOL oh yaeh have a nice day :)

PS send you the link where i got banned and my last post. , will be a laugh read it , happened about 6 weeks ago.

Remember thread 266 /\ /\ /\ Anyway I was talking about this guy which I had a tiff with in my first forum and then got banned, well anyway he passed away Wednesday morning , his name was GE007 or Grant Embling from http://cpcff.co.uk

Man I am in shock , life is so short.

goto www.custompc.co.uk >Forums >custom pc>to everyone that i have offended.

Its on page 6 , also all the lock threads on that page , i was bullied and i was wreckless , also didnt know how forums worked , was the first forum and lasted about week before i got banned.

Once bitten , twice a shy. I behave now and can laugh at all that happened , there was this guy there who opened a thread behind my back and ganged up onme , also because they were old and helped with things they banned me, I still buy there magazines and still think they are great and i should have controlled my anger and temper, also my name is nooh and the guy threatened me said that i will tell all the forums what you are like, luckily he did not come here.LOL. or i would have been banned before it even started.

Still i sign up as nooh everywhere , why ? so i can remember it.

Everybody have a nice day :p
Thats the other bit I wrote after that.

I wish i knew him a bit better and we could have sorted our differences out.

I don't think it will happen 100% of the time. Maybe 65-75% of the time.

@the nemesis ,I see competition :D

You need hour hours prime dude but looking at your settings I think you will do it.

use orthos 2004 and watch your cpu throttle , only kidding

If this counts then I have 4060mhz like with super pi , can i use that?

3915mhz , running 2 instances of 32 meg pi now.

Update- Can only get 1 32mg pi done and not 2

Please let me know if I'm missing anything.

Overall, I'm happy with this OC. I didn't want to increase the voltage too much, and this memory isn't a very good fit for this mobo since it requires 2.2V but the mobo can only deliver 2.1V (oops). There may be room for some tuning here--I haven't experimented with the RAM timings at all. All other voltages are at their default levels.

Actually, I posted this for the "highest oc not proven to be stable" section of the dbase. Entry will be colored black instead of green.

Well then you will have to push it over 4,007MHz in order to make it into the top 5 for the E6600.

That's a nice overclock thenemesis! :)
I just received the Abit AW9D-Max and I really like it. I have a E6600 using the 1.2 bios on the Abit.. GSkill 6400...
I'm having a problem with my Pi times. Pi times scale correctly until right around the 400x6 and then after that the times seem to go higher.
@ 3.6GHz I'm 14s and @ 3.75GHz I'm @ 17s!

I am now in my apartment. Comcast is supposed to be the same speed that I had before at
my parents house, but it is actually much faster. I will be putting things away tonight and
tomorrow but you should get an update Monday while I am at work.

Same thing happened to me due to the mounting wrong of my HSF , after remounted it and sandpapered the obstruction , after that I got 12sec on 1meg pi at 3915mhz

I think I'll give that a shot, thanks
I've got to try something, ;)

What kind of temps you getting there Donny? Case and airflow if you could...

I had exact same setup minus ram and would hit about 53 load.

The temps went down too.

At the mo I am running it at 3.55ghz and my temps are at 49c (core temp) on idle and 56c (coretemp) load. Its running 24/7 at that speed.

It hits about 63C on each core under load. Toasty, but I have all the thermal crap turned off in the BIOS. Idle is around 55-56. I run Boinc + WorldCommunityGrid (think folding@home) round the clock so I don't want the board slowing things down when it thinks it's idle.

Case is a Lian-Li PC-60APLUS2 with 2x120 and 2x80 fans,

Thanks. Idle seems a touch high? If your ambient's not 28+, you may wanna check the heat spreader. A nice lappage on the chip and hsf surface gave me about 3C idle and 6C load.

Jodiuh@ I agree with you , i have to check at least two times aday and just imagine what the rest is like. :D

Here is some marketing stuff I pulled from the summary stats.

Asus controls 48% of the motherboard market within our sample.
Gigabyte controls 43% of the motherboard market within our sample.

Corsair controls 30.07% of the memory market within our sample.
G.Skill controls 22.8% of the memory market within our sample.
OCZ controls 16.5% of the memory market within our sample.

Scythe controls 21.6% of the cooler market within our sample.
Zalman controls 12.8% of the cooler market within our sample.
Thermaltake controls 12% of the cooler market within our sample.
