My card get's up into the 80's under heavy load and my fans are defaulted at 35%. I have not been able to adjust the fans speed for my GX2 using ntune, rivatuner, or coolbits. I can adjust the settings to 100% but my fan does not speed up. Has anyone had any success adjusting the fan speed?

From what I know, which is limited, the 7950X2's fans should ramp up or down automatically based on the video card's temp. So, your card should have its fans on at 100% at 80C.

I have seen offical Bios releases for fan speeds only for the 7900gt's not the 7950GX2. This video card does tend to run around 80's when under a load. I would double check with the manufacture but you should be fine. Keep in mind how close together the two gpu's are.

After three hours of bf2 my card hits 82C and idles around 60-63. The temperatures seem high, but i think thats about normal for the card. I tried using Riva Tuner to up the fan speeds but im not sure if it changed anything.

Hi guys,

I used RivaTuner to adjust the fan speeds on my 7950GX2 from 30%-60% and i've seen the temps drop below 70 degrees celsius. It used to get to the high 70 degree mark before so it appears to be working for me.

@ magnuspah... The fan doesn't appear to change speeds even in the mid 80's

@ Vengance_01... I've seen some of those post but I'm trying to avoid a hacked video bios at this point

@ Krazykilla... yeah Nvidia claims that those temps aren't a problem but I don't like it when my card get's hotter than Jessica Alba in a g-string

@halo14... Yes you can adjust the fan settings in Rivatuner but from my experimenting with 2 different cards it doesn't actually work.
