No bickering, no whining about which is better. This is not a call for the camps to congregate and yell. Just vote as to whether you're going to pick up a Wii this Christmas, wait for the PS3 to come to the surface, or whether you'll stick with your 360. Keep it nicey nice :D

I'll stick with my 360 until I recoup the money I spent on it then I will probably pick up a Wii. I can't see buying a PS3 at this time, the only PS3 exclusive that interests me is a new Ratchet and Clank game.

I am curious why you have two seemingly different options for the Wii and the PS3 when they are being released within 2 days of each other?

Wii for now, and probably a 360 when they get their first price drop... and even then, it'll mostly be for XBLA :D

360 first, Nintendo when they release new colours, PS3 when the price drops by at least $150 minimum.

I'm going to wait till the Wii has proven itself, then I'm going to pick it up as my first next'gen console.

Secondly, I'll be saving up for a 360 along with a price drop. I'll probably get this next christmas time.

Thirdly, I'll be waiting for a dramatic drop in the PS3's price. Unsure of when I'll be purchasing this.

Wii at launch.

Will consider the others when they get some exclusives that interest me that I can't get on my PC. Hopefully by that time they'll drop in price a bit (or a lot in the PS3's case).

The 360 doesn't have anything I can't live without that I can't already get on my PC although there's a few upcoming games that look very interesting for it. If they make their way to the PC I'll just get them there, if they don't I might get a 360.

Right now the PS3 doesn't really have anything I'm super hyped about.

The Wii has about 10 games I'm almost certain I'll want between now and March 2007, and 5 more I'm on the fence about. At and around launch I'll probably pick up Twilight Princess, Excite Truck, WarioWare Smooth Moves, Red Steel, and maybe that new Rayman game if it's fun.

Sticking with my 360 and PS2 until the Wii and PS3 drop in price...won't buy a Wii for more than $150, won't buy a PS3 for more than $300.

Got a 360 right now, must say i'm enjoying it right now

will most likely get a Wii on launch day if we have more then one game to choose from on purchase

most likely won't get the PS3 till it has a game i care about and hopefully a price drop

I'm getting Wii when it launches, gonna get a 360 around when Gears of War and Mass Effect come out, and of course gonna stick to PC gaming.

I thought I should let you know, that Rayman is an emo. Who could in turn make others emo!

360 and PS3 whenever MGS4 comes out. Wii gets less and less appealing the more I learn about it, so I'll probably just pass on it (unless the announce pikmin 3, then I might reconsider).

Sticking with my 360, and I'm going to buy a Wii when it comes out -- pretty much just for the Nintendo games. I'll pass on PS3 unless there is a massive price cut and there are more games announced for it that I want besides FFXIII and MGS4.

X360 after price drop (probably sooner if the homebrew community booms), PS3 at launch (just to see what the hype is all about first-hand), and a Wii sometime later.

Xbox 360, main reason, gran theft auto 4, fable 2, dead rising, and saints row. I have some contacts and I can obtain a ps3 at launch, I will probably get it since it's a nice system and I'll be a ble to watch blue ray movies. Hopefully no more games get cancelled for the ps3, otherwise 360. As for the wii, it's a nice console, but it just doesen't have any games or features that I am interested in besides zelda and super smash bros, thats about it. They are all good system, this is one of those times since console prices went way up, I think the wii is gonna cost a lot considering the lack of features $250 when you can buy the basic 360 for $300, then you gotta buy memory cards for both and accessories and yada yada yada. I like the idea the the ps3 includes a 60gb HD, blue-ray, HDMI, it will connect with the psp possibly allows you to watch your psp games on the tv. So immagine you can play your emulated roms on the big screen for free without shelling out $8 per 8bit nes game to nintendo (this is based that you got the psp and you got the patience to mess with that). Anyways good luck all, and remember when you die you can't take it all so diversify and spend a little but not all, and do things one step at a time.

PS3 at launch, definitely. Even though it's the most expensive, it's the only console for which I feel I'm getting my money's worth(biggest hard drive, built-in wifi, region free backwards compatibility with the two largest game libraries in history, bunch of games that interest me, free online play for Warhawk at launch).

I'll get a Wii when Super Smash Brothers Brawl is released. The recent press releases have put me off a bit. It comes packaged only with a Wiimote and the nunchaku attachment is 20 bucks extra. Each extra Wiimote and nunchaku would be 60 bucks, and I'm a bit dissapointed that a classic controller won't be included. Nonetheless, I'll still be picking one up, just not as soon as I'd previously planned.

So, both a PS3 and a Wii. Together, they cover all bases as far as my gaming needs go.

$600 PS3 can suck it. Wii only. Maybe a 360 next year, I'm interested in Dead Rising and Blue Dragon.

Funny because I'm traditionally mostly a PS1/PS2 RPG/strategy gamer, although I own a PS1/PSone/PS2/Dreamcast/SNES/NES/Gamecube/Xbox...:D

No game is worth $600 to me. PS3 in 2008 maybe. I've never even spent that much on a PC upgrade.

Now now, keep it nice in here.

I'm buying a Wii, mainly because I hope the next Cooking Mama (Have you seen screenshots for the Wii version? Yes!) and Trauma Center are out fairly soon for it.

No, it comes with both.

Yeah, but if I want more of them it's still $60 per controller.

SSBB for starters, and then you know that there's going to be another Mario Kart game, another Mario Party Game, etc. To play 4-on-4 I'd have to spend about the equivalent of another Wii.

Well, since you made the poll basically console OR pc, I had to go with PC since that's my preferred platform.

I owned and sold a 360 already, though I'll probably get one again sometime after games like Gears of War, Mass Effect and the Too Human trilogy are out.

PS3 I'll be getting; but not at launch. The playstation platform has always had the biggest library of games that interest me and I remain hopeful that that will continue to be the case this generation.

Wii mostly interests me because I'll be able to play all the old school NES/SNES games on one system. But again, won't be getting it at launch; and will probably never use the whacky wii-mote controller if I don't have to.

own a 360 now. Chances of a PS3 later down the road since availablity seems slim, Wii right away though.

So I voted all 3

wouldn't it be cheaper to go and buy original nintendo games from the fleamarket instead of shelling for an innanimate version of the game aka no cd or cartridge. I own the original 8 bit nintendo, now that's old school, I might purchase a falkimon ( i think thats the Japanese counterpart) that doesen't reset itself like the original nintendo.

Fixed.

360 if i can get one on the cheap... if not it'll be a wii. after watching two metal gear 4 trailers, one of which is 15 minutes long, i sorta want a ps3 but no way in hell am i gonna pay 5 bills or more for it.

any ideas why the next-gen controllers are expensive? I mean, the Xbox 360 controller has no excuse.. Its just a slightly modified XBox controller (white and black to shoulder) and yet it gots $20 more then a normal xbox controller.. I was disappointed in the price for the wii-mote and 'chuck.. Another $60 controller. ouch... Heres hoping that 'third party' versions of the various controlls come out, that are decent..

I'm still buying a Wii its just gonna take longer to get the 'party' games started. Everyone will have to pitch in just so I can get 4 controllers eventually...

still I can't wait for Trauma Center : Second Opinion, Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, 'New' Zelda and Red Steel..
And Here's hoping they port all the gun games on the ps2 to the wii cuz I can't play on HD tvs with the light guns :(.
