Check this out. I came across this the other day after reading an article off of Slashdot. Voltage Security has a free trial of their SecureMail software. They have an Outlook plug-in and for those that don't use Outlook, there is a web based system to send secure messages. The cool thing is that it seems pretty easy.

So it's easy for Outlook users... and the rest of us have a website?
Right. Easy seems to have changed meaning while I wasn't looking.

They host the Web system. Give it a try and find out what you are missing.

Something about the line:
"Give it a try and find out what you are missing."
Sounds like marketing speak to me (but I've been spending too much time in the digg.com queue recently).

So now what, go back to the original post, farmdwg heard about this on Slashdot right?
According to Google:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=SecureMail+site:slashdot.org&btnG=Search
Nope.
And according to Slashdot's own search system, no reference of SecureMail shows up for stories or comments.

Could you point all of us to the story, blog, or comment please?

So it's from a member of Voltage talking about snake oil security problems. Now I see why I couldn't find anything about the product on /.

Thanks.

We licensed voltage at my company and it does what it's supposed to. However, our clients didn't want to be bothered with the system and it's fallen into disuse. I can write up something more about it if people are interested, the configuration of the system isn't simple.
