Nah, had a friend try it out at E3 and they said it was brilliant.U HAX0R said:PLEASE wait before the Wii comes out and you get to play some games and then decide. You might be deceived with the wiimote ...
FluxCap said:Nah, had a friend try it out at E3 and they said it was brilliant.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice on TVs. I will have to decide soon.
U HAX0R said:Oh really ? Tried it at E3 ? How long did he play 5 minutes ?
<--- Use the Wii 8+ hours a day,
FluxCap said:So, you don't like it then? Opinions are like bungholes...
I knew I should have changed my title to something strictly about TVs. The title is misleading and leads to worthless posts from people.
U HAX0R said:I Has anyone considered selling their Xbox 360 and getting a Wii as their primary console?
ClearM4 said:PS. I can't believe how well Nintendo's PR department did naming the Wii to get people talking. I thought I would never get used too it, but it really is catchy and I ALMOST like it now.
4saken said:Are you retarded? Im going to flame you because the library is not vastly superior. Unless you consider a zelda and mario game >*. They arent even goign to have 3rd party online for 6 months after release now. How fucking superior of a lineup is that.
I dont' know about you but Im really starting to get tired of the games that look great but have the entertainment factor of a 3rd grade childrens play.
Daggah said:Wait...Nintendo...original?
How many times have you played through Mario and Zelda games on nintendo systems again?
Daggah said:Wait...Nintendo...original?
So instead you're going to go with a system whose games are being targeted precisely at that kind of audience (children)?
flboad said:So by that your saying we all have to be grown ups when we play video games? And i should only play "Adult Games". Sponge bob square pants is targeted at children. But i'll tell you this. If it's intresting to play. Who freakin cares? But i digress, Wii's games are not "ALL" targeting children there are plenty and will be plenty of games for us "adults"
Daggah said:I outgrew Super Mario when I outgrew all the other things I used to do when I was 12, personally. I'm only marginally interested in Zelda.
Your logic is pretty flawed...you criticize other companies for sequels but then justify them for Nintendo. Gamespot's launch article has a list of launch games but only a couple of them aren't sequels to franchises that Nintendo has been milking for years.
Meanwhile the 360 has a lot of games like Dead Rising, Gears of War, Lost Planet, Kameo (pretty unique as far as platformers go)...
Daggah said:As I've matured so have my tastes. I'd rather play something immersive and targeted at adults, like Dead Rising or a Metal Gear Solid game, over something obviously targetted at children.

Neurofreeze said:The mass slaughter of zombies is straight up middle school. Running around with a box on top of you sounds a lot like something a grader-schooler would do for a fort or tank.
Next I assume you'll be claiming Saints Row is deep and mature.
Gatticus said:Sorry, decided to start a new thread discussing my issue. Carry on.

Jap1987 said:IMO the Wii is a gimicky dissapointment. I was going to buy one mainly for a better looking zelda, but now that they are implementing the motion thing into sword movement screw it. So far no game on Wii has excited me. For all the talk about how this sensor will be as precise as a mouse it sure isnt stoping companys from using a lockon.
Daggah said:Well, ultimately I'll get a Wii just because at its price there's no reason not to, especially since it'll be compatible with gamecube games (not being particularly impressed by the gamecube or its library, I never had enough reason to get one) but I think that the Wii's main appeal is in fact it's low price...it's game library and hardware capabilities certainly don't do all that much to impress.
Sure, kid's games like Mario or Zelda can be enjoyed by all ages but they're still TARGETED specifically at one age category. Nintendo's been targetting this age category for a long time now, that you cannot deny.
FluxCap said:One con for me: If I want to lay down on the leather couch and play a game (ie Zelda) in a relaxed posture, I can't because of the motion stuff. If that is the case with most games then I will probably pass. I get enough exercise at the gym.
Jap1987 said:And the controller is a gimick, there trying to stress that controllers are getting to advanced. Any console controller can be picked up and played faster then two motion sensor sticks.
Jap1987 said:I didnt say it was out... blah blah unfounded speculation blah blah blah
PoweredBySoy said:Yeees yeees, the 960 had the super-fine pitch. And yes, it does produce a crisper picture the closer you sit to the TV. But it comes at a price of a dimmer picture as well, so it's not all perfect. Not to mention that if you can actually find a 960 out there, it'll run you about $1600.
The 970 looks awesome. Just because a better TV exists in this world, don't let that spoil the fact that the 970 produces a superb picture for $950.
The AVS forum is great. Those guys are hardcore AV nerds.

Dont know where u get that from. Kameo is the only game style wise i could compare it to, and kameo looks leagues better environmentally and character model wise.
Jap1987 said:Again I didnt say it was a measure of enjoyment NINTENDO'S pitch(gimmick) is that today controllers have far to many buttons and therefore hard for anyone to just pick up and play. I believe picking up a controller is far less intimidating then picking up two motion sensor controllers.
Jap1987 said:if it requires the motion controller forget it. Im entitled like the rest of you to an opinion and I believe its nothing but a gimmick.
