FIRST OFF! I KNOW that I have an active thread about problems in the FS section, one person has been refunded, another is pending, and everyone else's stuff has been shipped, there is NO reason to crap on my thread (as I KNOW you are going to, I GET IT!)

Now that I got that out of the way, here is one of the things I have been working on, its a joint effort between my roomate and I (my system but he is going to put four hard drives in it and use me as a backup file server) Oh and dell 2407WFP on the way (gets here friday)

The wiring is not done, I am a NAZI about hiding the internal wires, so its going to get done right, but for now it looks pretty clean through the window, also I have some new dye to go through the tubes, but for the leak test I don't want to waste $30 in dye.

QUESTIONS/COMMENTS APRECIATED!

I wonder why you're idling so low?

What are your load temps like? What's your ambient?

load temps are about 34-36 on CPU and almost 40 on the video, ambient is fairly low, AC is on but its confertable.

hehe the dfi expert :) Expert at everything besides temp reporting

Why do you go pump>rad>cpu>gpublock1>res>gpublock2 for?

Because the bend from one video card to the next was VERY hard, and It kinked no matter what, I think that this setup works JUST fine since the flow seems great, and the second card is only 1c within the first, even at load, plus it looks a LOT better than having the tube bend and using zip ties to kick the kinkage.

damn that sounded kinky

yeah, after inspecting further, i found the expert sucks at reporting temps, any ideas on how to tell how my cpu temps are doing?

I go with coretemp with my expert boards then try to adjust that reported temp in the bios.

Zipties, coolsleeves, or even a hoseclamp will kill that sli bend kink.

Well. where do I read core temp?

Also I am now aware of all the means of fixing the SLI kink, but I didn't want to do any of them, all those ways would make ugly looking tubes, and I am anal about that stuff.

AHH that program is reporting a much more accurate 28 on core0 and 30 on core1

there we go haha

Yeah my 170 idles at about the same temps. My setup is in a coolview which is a mastiage with a door on the front. I was really pleased with the case overall for a wc setup. You did almost the exact samesetup I did except I don't run SLI yet and I've got a SLI-D instead of expert. But I might go SLI in the future, my loop would run pump > rad > gpu1 > cpu > gpu2 > res. That would keep you from making the nasty bend from gpu to gpu. Nice setup though.

Is CoreTemp considered an accurate temp monitor? I was getting ~42C (idle, with Apogee!!!) with MSI's dual core center-thing, but this program is reporting 25C for one core and 32C for the other! This doesn't sound very likely to me... although I'm hoping it's true :D

edit: I don't think I applied a very even layer of thermal paste, which could explain the difference - I'm going to reseat it I think.

that was the exact case i was thinking would be good for watercooling, how is it working out? how are noise levels?

Why oh why are you asking advice from a fugly troll???

Well, I don't think its really an issue anymore, as this scumbag has finally been banned as a bad trader. I hope all the people who he scammed out of $$$ to build that little watercooled system will catch up with his ass some day..........
