I don't know what happened but one day my computer crash and now I can't over clock anymore. I have a MSI neo2 platnium, x2 3800+. I used to be able to run at 240mhz fsb, now it will only boot at stock 200mhz. I have reseated everything, no luck. Help!!!

uhh your sig says DFI NF3...

but anyways what happens when you OC? will it boot? prime stable?

did you run memtest? (you could have jacked you RAM if you touched it w/o antistatic strap)

what happens when you go to 201?

Possibilities: psu dying, memory going bad, memory controller on cpu dying. How many volts did you put into it when you oced it?

If I overclock in windows it crashes, I can maybe get to 210fsb. If i go into the bios it and overclock it won't do anything. I used stock voltage before to get to 240fsb.

sounds like the crash was a power surge and took a chunk out of the mem control / memory.
One thing to check is what is the rail voltage on the PSU?

it sounds like either a memory thing or a power thing.

Try changing the RAM ratio so that if you bump up the FSB the RAM wont exceed the 200Mhz mark. You could also try changing your RAM timings, its possible that those got screwed up somehow.

Meaning 1:1 or 1:2 and so on so that the ram is running at a slower bus.
Also on the ram it's self. If it was say 2-2-2-8 loosen up the timings to say 3-3-4-10 and then try to clock again.

Thats also true, i never thought to consider mentioning the timings. Check to see if they are like the other guy said, if they are anywhere lower than 2 then try going to 3 or 4.
