I just installed my new x1900xt and dual monitors and when i go into ati catalyst control it says my core speed is 500mhz and my memory clock speed is 594 mhz. It's it supposed to be like 625mz and 725 or am i misinformed
 
or am i just dumb and it down clocks itseph when its not running hard? it says my requested speed for core is 621mhz, current vpu 500 and requested memory is 720mhz and current is 594mh
 
That's normal, graphics cards back down on their clock speeds when you're not playing a game.
 
True, both ATI and Nvidia pull back the clock on their cards when there is no load on them.
