I noticed that I kinda leaped over the 965 chipset series, but that's because I usually just spring for high end, or go as low as I can to save up to go high later. do you know if fry's sells the msi board? or any BM store that sells it for that matter? I want to get the system running up this weekend. I live in Los Angeles.
 
I was just looking for a list like this. Saved me from spending hours going from site to site.
I've been having a hard time finding hardware sites that have these motherboards reviewed. If possible can you put a "+" or a "-" for overclocking features on these m/b's?

i'm not sure about much overclocking with many of those boards as they use cheaper p945 chipsets. They do overclock but not to any great extremes. For that, most of the time it takes a p965 or the 975's. I do know that the msi OC's like crazy, and everyone's had their eye on it. it links to a forum where someone OC'd a E6400 to amazing speeds. the other mobos are relatively new and havent been played with much. hope that helps a little.

i've seen the reviews before, thanks for reminding me aznjosh. woohoo! more research! ;) well it will be a little bit before i update it, as i'm kind of in the process of selling my laptop stuff, and repairing a friend's computer. so stuff probably won't happen much until i return tonight.

I kinda want to jump on this since I have a 500 dollar gift certificate from Tiger Direct but they're looking a bit spendier than the rest........I'd probably be better off selling it and getting cash to use at the egg or ewiz

yah.... they seem to have pretty competetive prices, but their shipping prices *OwN* :eek: i've yet to order from them...

I ordered one from them while it was $255 as well. I got my shipping and it said it will be here wednesday. Although I only just ordered my x1900xt today and haven't even ordered ram and mobo yet.

Wow they raised the price to $264 for the E6400 now... sad :mad:
 
Picked up a E6400 and DS3 at zipzoomfly for $408 + $2.99 for 2 day shipping. I was really hoping that newegg would drop its price on the 6400 to something reasonable, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I think ZZF is everyone's best bet for allendale's right now.
