Ok so I picked up a Lian Li PC-V300 and I held off buying a MB and Processor so now that Conroe's are out I need advice on what MB to pick up. I was planning on getting a E6600 as it appears to be the bang for the buck. I'm also looking for a Power Supply Recommendation??? Thx

Where I live (the Netherlands) I see the Intel G965 (mostly the SS and OT versions) mATX boards appearing in many webshops. Not yet in stock but probably due in aprox two/three weeks. I guess it's not much different anywhere else. I have not much experience with boards but from what I read, Intel has a rock solid reputation and it appears other manufacturers are waaaaaay behind on 965 mATX. So for now this seems to be the best bet. But you never now, next week thing may be different...;)

Those problems are only the onboard video right? Most people won't be using onboard anyway?

They wont even release it until its fixed.

excaliberpc and computerhq are already showing intel branded G965 boards in their webshops on US shores, its just a matter of waiting now.

Intel's integrated graphics always suck. What's new? Release it already!

Intel DG965SSCK - µATX - Available? (prob 11th)
Intel DQ965GFEKR - µATX - Available?

These two are listed on ComputerHQ and Atacom. CHQ lists it as "Call." Atacom you have to e-mail for stock status. Do a search on Priceline and the majority of sites list the DG655SSCK being available on the 11th. Who knows how these will overclock, though... Designed by intel with embedded graphics, probably gonna blow.

ECS was showing off a RS600/SB600 Conroe board back at Computex for mATX. That's the most promising board I've seen. At the time, ECS said they would have it available a little bit after launch. I haven't been able to find any other information on it though, so don't know when to actually expect its release.

Edit - RS600 is based off of RD600, but designed more for mainstream segments (from what I've been able to find, it lacks Crossfire support and likely overclocking features).

RS600 has an integrated X700 based graphics core. ECS always has some overclocking just not a lot. I don't think Ati has even launched the chipset so I don't know when this will be out. DFI is also going to have an RS600 board with the SB600 south bridge. You can check the matx motherboard sticky to see a list of boards that are being released.

Not a bad looking board (on paper).

If it turns out to be a good OC board might be a decent option.

Although I think I would rather have a 965/975 board, so a little bit of a wait might be in order.

Its not only on the INQ.

Things aren't looking good. I believe it wont even support ddr 800 either, or on of the Broadwater chipsets.

Best bet is to wait... however how many of us have that patience? lol
