aznpxdd: The Nostromo pad works very well with FPS's. That's what it was designed for. However I was mainly using it when I played WoW when I was still addicted to it. I don't use it was much now since I quit. Did wonders when I was playing my Warlock though :D

Sorry for the bad shots.

Saitek Gamers' Keyboard
Logitech MX510 Blue
Thermaltake LED Mouse Pad

Can't use a mouse anymore cos they hurt my wrist! I'm just as good with the trackball and I find that I get smoother movements as well.

Terra - My gaming "corner"...other rigs in the house, but this is where I have fun ;)

even though with today's mice you dont need a mouse surface, i still use one because it protects the surface of my table/desk and it severly cuts down on the cheese that develops on the feet.

yah, i hate that gunk buildup, my mouse is literally taking paint off and polishing the surface of my desk.

My Razer Copperhead ( best father's day present EVER ! ) and the dirty Corsair mouse pad I won as a door prize at a LAN party a couple years ago. I've bought a couple "better" ones since, but always go back to this one, for some reason.

what, the game console? the skull and X-bones is actually the ESC key.. other than that, all other normal keys are present (sans 10 key area keys).. the tilde is down between the left ALT and SPACE.

IMO this is the best combination of Keyboard/Mouse/Mousemat

Saitek Eclipse Neon Blue backlit keyboard, very nice to type and game with and looks awesome. The Razer Copperhead Neon blue, IMO the best mosue you can buy and the blue matches the colour of the keyboard almost exactly giving a very cool combo of Jet black and neon blue for both the mouse and keyboard.

And to top it all off an Original Icemat, the original glass mousemat which glides like a hot knife through butter, oh yeah and a nice wrist pad for those of us who game with such high sensitivity that you dont need to move your arm, just your wrist.

Apologies for blurry pick, and crappy desk :)

mmm say, for those of you who bought the G5, did ya buy cuz of the "laser" technology or wah?

I bought it because A) On-the-fly adjustable resolution, B) Weight management cartridge, C) The MX1000 I had felt like a baseball in my hands, and D) It was 1/2 the cost of the G7 at the time.

I keep it because of the above reasons and the grippy texture on sides is nice. I use the resolution buttons far more than I thought I would.

The only things I would change would be to add another thumb button, and ditch the braided cord covering.

why not go with the mx518? it has alot more buttons, costs less and isnt too heavy or too light

Years ago, we got two mouse pads from the World Dairy Expo for some Manitoba Hay company. I used them for years, they were filthy. My mom finally threw them out when I went to Israel two years ago. :( After that I got a Belkin pad with a wrist-rest and now I have a fUnc Archetype 1030 MBA. I'll post pictures of my setup soon.

The G5 has the exact same number of buttons as the MX518. Go away.

yea but in inconvenient places and if you are gonna talk like that, get the fuck out of my thread

Hah.. you're saying "Go away" to the OP. Better think again. Also he's right. The MX518 is just fine and you're going for the G5 just for bragging rights. It's better that the buttons are located where your thumb is.

Inconvient places? The scroll wheel is inconvient for you to click?

The MX 518 has the button above the scroll wheel, the two buttons below, the scroll wheel, the two thumb buttons, and left/right-click buttons. The G5 has the tilt/scroll-wheel (three buttons) and the two buttons below the wheel, plus the thumb button and left/right click. What am I missing?

EDIT: I just figured out what I'm missing. My apologies.
