I've bought the Ultra PLUS model of the kit today ... will be installing soon ...

I also bought two 120mm Nexus real silent fans to replace the original ones. They cost, but its worth it ...

Looking forward to my new temps ... hopefully I can fit it all in my P180 with the RAD on the back outside ...

although i think nexus fans are great, i really don't think you needed them with this kit. Using the 12 to 7v adapters the fans were very quiet, and still pushed a good amount of air though the rad, and even if you were dead set on changing fans out, yate loons are about $10 cheaper and still very very quiet.

I live in the UK, and this kit was REALLY hard to find!

in the end I ordered one from ebay.com and had to pay ~£18 for shipping!

ah well, can't wait 'til it gets here :D

I get about 43C idle and 55C load during the summer on my OC'ed Opty. I already reseated my HS lots of times so I don't know what else the problem could be . Summer in the valley is hot, usually around 100 degrees. I also use Asus Probe to check the temps.

I remember during the winter, it's around 33C idle and 40C load.

if its hot in the room, the processor will be hot too. It can only cool as well as the air passing over the radiator. at least 55 is still somewhat safe-ish.

Yea my comp is in the very corner of my room with no ventilation from either side. I may have to buy a stand to raise it up a lil bit.

try cooling the room off with AC. That should drop the temps.

I actually have an independent AC in my room. I turn it on from time to time but mostly off cuz of high electricity bill. I just wanted to know if it's normal for my temps to be this way without AC.

without knowing the temp of your room without AC on, it very well be a normal temp.
Turn your AC on and leave it till your room is nice and cool, then check temps again.

I'd bet they will be much lower.,

For point of reference, my 6000btu AC costs me $18/month to run with electric company charging $0.19/kwh. I keep it set at 75 degrees, my room is the only thing cooled by it. My main rig and file server run 24x7, room is 13'x14' with both windows shaded. I use the p3 kill-a-watt meter to get these results. It doesn't seem like much to me.

My AC is either 8000 or 10000BTU http://www.goldstarappliances.com/m8003r.html so it's runs higher wattage.

gotta keep the rigs cool though,

what if you were still running air...i can't even think of the temps...gotta love the h2o
