Tigerdirect has e6600 (all conroes) in stock!

Well, I will wait for ZZF to get some in.

I have heard way to many horror stories(how about one where someone orders a cpu, then it arrives with pins missing, and orders a new mobo, and has pins stuck in it? Then they refused to take it back) from Tigerdirect and seen too much crap pulled by them to ever buy anything from them.
Just remember you'll never hear about people who have great experiences (probably 95% of all their customers) because they have nothing special to say...

Very true. Which is why when I get excellent service from a company over the years I let them know i'm appreciative. Almost all the feedback they get is negative because that's the only time people speak up.

Yes, that is very true(just like when the Xbox 360 was released, it was an uproar with people that didn't have one because a few people had heat related problems).

If Tiger Direct would have accepted it's mistake and replaced those new parts it wouldn't have been so bad. But for them to send out a supposedly new cpu with broken pins and a supposedly new mobo with pins broken off in the socket, and not take the parts back is just wrong.

Plus I remember the last time I browsed through their graphics cards(this was before Crossfire was released). They had a high end ATI card with a huge rebate on it, but in the fine print it said you must buy a crossfire master card for this rebate to be valid, and there was no place that had a crossfire master card(it was a few weeks away from release).

Well the good thing about Conroe is that there are no pins to break.

There are pins to break - on the motherboard. And the T socket has more components that makes the system heavier and more expensive. Now AMD has to follow to compete, they start with the new Opteron F (?) socket.
