Let me try to make a long story short.

- Bought a VX2025mw 2 months ago. Loved it!

- The control buttons on front of lcd have become defective. Random issues up until the up and down arrows quit working completely.

- Called Viewsonic to resolve. Im told they make you ship it out and get repaired. Takes up to 14 days!! Told no option to cross-ship replacement like most good companies will do.

- Emailed customer service to give my displeasure with their RMA procedures. Receive a response. All of a sudden I do qualify for a cross-shipment of a replacement monitor. GREAT! Thats what I wanted to hear in the first place. I just have to fax in a form with my info and credit card number in case I don't ship back my defective monitor.

- I get an email yesterday stating "We don't have a vx2025 available to replace your lcd at this time. You'll have to ship your monitor to Kentucky for repair!!!!

-RIGHT BACK TO WHERE I STARTED. JERKS! A reputable company would have sent me a new one.

- Its packed up and being shipped today. Now Im without my desktop for what looks like over 2 weeks including shipping times......This plainly sucks.

Ok it was still a little long but it was the best I could come up with ;)

Welcome to Viewsonic Customer Support!

I've been in a battle with them for over two months now, trying to get my DVI port fixed on my VX2025wm. While I sincerely hope you get your monitor repaired, don't be surprised if they ship yours back just like mine, still broken with new cables. Oh, and I hope you kept your rear panel. Because they didn't ship mine back with the monitor.

They refuse to give me any replacement either, and I'm now on my THIRD RMA number. I have to say, I'm never buying or recommending a Viewsonic after this, no matter how good the monitor is. They're horribly incompetent, and have been dropping the ball on every step of this case.

On 7/13 I had sent an e-mail to Robert Lee, the Customer Service Manager, stating the history of this case. Now one week later, I haven't heard a thing, and I'm filing a complaint with the BBB soon.

Let this be a warning to those who are thinking of buying one of their monitors. I've not seen service this bad since I tried to cancel an AOL account.

Oh boy. Not looking forward to this.

About two weeks ago...
Motherboard went kinda funky, (Asus) and B channel memory slots didnt work... Used one in A channel, and now the DVI on my VX2025WM isnt working.

Fast forward to today:

Motherboard back from asus, B channel memory still not working -- Tryed with different memory, different cpu, different video card, different psu. It must be the motherboard. Time for a very angry/disapointed call to Asus, as they didnt cross ship to begin with, and I got hit with international postage fees (Canada --> US). However, I can now boot to windows, rather than just hdd failure, so perhaps they did something. Either way, I now had a chance to try out the DVI recover tool. Result? It didnt work... Time to see what the store I bought it from says, considering I cant find my recipt.

Just for kicks, here are the two txt files on the floppy after it was used to boot from...
Port1.txt:
-f -c and -p are mutually exclusive options: use only one of these
failure while performing read edid command, check device attached

Port 2.txt:

My DVI has also died and I too was told the monitor has to be repaired and the repair company arranges a courier to pick up the monitor but if I wanted something to use whilst my 2025wm was being repaird they said they could lend me a 15" CRT IF I arranged and paid for pickup and return...........yer right

I phoned Viewsonic direct in AU and they kindly arranged a loan of a 19" LCD that was sent by/from the repairer, problem was they failed to mention to the courier that he had to take my 2025wm back with him
