Hey I had the same problem (i got a 35 percent to workon my m1210)

I ended up calling them and asking if I needed to confirm my order because I saw it was on hold (I told them in the past I have had to) and the guy was like, "yeah just a sec, lemme push this one through" and sure enough he did.

He asked if I used a coupon and I said I believe so, and that was the end of it.

My m1210 should be here Tuesday :) I decided since I was getting the 35 percent off plus 2 percent for the preferred, I would go big. I got the 2 gigs, t2600, 80gb 7200, bluetooth, 1 6 cell and 1 9 cell battery, top 4 year warranty, the AV package and the DVD burner.

Came to around 1890, saved about 1000 (not that I would have spent 2900)
 
Nuts, the ones posted over at TechBargains for today don't work on XPS... :(

When looking at the coupons dor sale on Ebay, how do you know if they've valid on XPS? I'd hate to spring for one only to find out that it was unusable.

Man, we really need a better system for giving away these coupons, maybe requiring that users are logged in before they can see a thread, or even subscription access...though that would probably kill it. Dunno, they just go so fast and a lot of people don't post when they're used. :(

how do you guys get these coupons? I get a dell magazine in the mail every month because I've bought lots of stuff before but I've never seen a coupon code like that...

There is usually a minimum purchase price (possibly $999) and restriction on certain models. Goto xpbargains.com and use the 30% coupon. If that works, then it means that the 35% has already been used.

The coupons usually work only on Inspiron laptops or the E1405, E1505 or E1705 series. The gaming systems occasionally have their own coupons.
 
Apply it with either 2407WP, 2007FP, or 1907FP...

For some reason it will not work, and it thinks there is a monitor called 2407WFP, and when I search for it, it finds a "2407WFP". And when I add it to the cart it turns it into 2407FPW.
