September when my contract expires: Back to cable 5MB down 3 Mb up

Cable thru Pro-Log / Blue Ridge.
10 Down 1 up

$51.00 A month...
Very stable and always fast :)

Just was able to upgrade my Bellsouth from 3.0 to 6.0 thanks to moving. The speed is fantastic and the connection is reliable. I dropped Charter about a year ago and only wish I had done it sooner. I couldn't recommend Charter as an ISP to Afghani sheepherders, let alone anyone who might actually use their connection.

I chose 56K but maybe get half that on our crappy lines.
No cable available, no DSL ever (the telephone company tells me), and acres of trees on hills block wireless and satelite.

If you would read his post, you would see that all he has available is 56K.....Not everyone has cable or DSL available to them......Its not a birth right...

Some of us chose to live in rural areas you know....Im very lucky to have cable where I live....But not so lucky as to have mail service.......

Some of your post's never cease to amaze me.

Comcast 6.0/384 right now... $42.95/month

Getting ready to switch to Verizon DSL at 3.0/768 at $29.95/month.

Delta Cable! tiny little "we charge a million bucks per Byte over preset bandwith limit" company.

Cnet says im getting 1.7Mb/s

and 56K ftw. cheap as hell, friend is a broke graphic artist using 56K, he pays something like $7 a month. it gets you on your site. it gets you off your site. what more do you want?

plus not a single computer on his home "network" is on Windows XP.

wait.. someone said "cable 500mbps" uhh ok

Where? When?

Work: DS3 45Mb/s
Home: Dial-up w00t! not for to much longer, wireless is coming back soon 1.5/256

I have the SBC (ATT) DSL 3/612k $24.95 month and my contract expires 7/19 and I'm going back to cable just to port my phone number over to my VOIP provider. See the greedy basturds will not port your number if you have a DSL line so I can shitcan them and move my internet services back to cable. I tought they were in business to make money? Seems like they would be willing to work with me to keep my business.

BTW.... I bitched about the poor line condtion so they boosted my upload speed from 428

omg connections in other countries are so good lol.. in my country they are only 3 companies and the best u can get is 1mb/512 and is REALLY expensive.. i only got 256/128 :( paying about 50 bucks per month in my currency.

time warner cable (earthlink)

5000/384

it bursts to past 15mbps from time to time, i have screenshots of a few downloads in windows and in linux where i can keep a 1200KB/S download speed pretty much the whole time, even though it drops gradually after the download begins...

i just wish i had more upload

$41.95 / month
