The Lian Li Gallery

I dunno...it's a fairly nice case and all, but I don't really consider it an SFF case, a bit large...but that's just me.

It does have a lot of potential though, I'll give it that.

My thoughts exactly. Too large and awkward for LANing, too tall to fit in most media cabinets/etc. Kind of misses the point.

Next to my V2000... it makes a perfect SFF :D

i'm using an old skool Abit Nf7 mobo with where the power supply is on the left hand side, will this be a problem if i use this in a Lian Li V1000b since its a BTX because I’m using a 92mm fan/Thermalright Si97a heat sink

My WC Set-Up before i modded and changed to 240mm radiator. this old set up is w/ 120mm radiator with bad airflow.

nice setup!

but arent the top fans supposed to be blowing outward due to the fact that hot air rises??

No, how they are is better. If they were blowing outward, he would be trying to cool his rad with warm air.

The only apparent downside to have the fans blowing down onto the rad is that the warm air is pushed down into your case. If you've got good airflow inside the case this shouldn't be an issue though.

my side panels finally arrive this Friday.

SOOOOO EXCITED O_O

expect many pics

:(

Only one panel came in, I have to wait until next week for the other.

The other panel will be the one with the window.

lemme see pics maybe this one is wut ur looking for.

For my next rig I thought I would just go with a quad 120 PC-7, but the more I think about it...

I think will go with a PC-G70 Silver Aluminum Super Tower. I'll justify the cost by keeping and using it for 10+ years lol.

Air Cooled, and maybe eventually switch to watercooling when I am out of college.

One Question.
The PC-G70 comes with two power supply slots, I'm not sure which one I will use (probably the top?), but what do I do about the sencond empty slot? Do I leave that hole there or does it come with something to cover it up? Would I fill it in with mesh, or even maybe fill it with a scrap piece of aluminum?

use the one on the top. as your PSU exhaust heat, and heat rises to the top of the case. so if it is already on top the warm air from ur PSU wouldn't heat up any other component inside the case.

it comes w/ a cover.

I'm trying to remember now where I saw those things for sale...I'm pretty sure Monarch had them at one point if they don't now, but it might have been somewhere locally that carried them.

Hey guys, im posting to you on a 50kbps dial up connection right now. On vacation until wednesday :(

Thanks for the comments, I will give you all the pic when I get home. Next side panel arrives sometime this week :D

thanks .. great job!

seeing ur case awhile ago on ocforums .. made me wanna get a v2100 .. but its just
too big lol .. standing on my desk .. it will be huge

Interesting...if that plate covering the top 1/3 of the internals comes standard then I might have to find something to "do" with the door to get around my general dislike for doors...cus man i could do great things with that case.

BlueAqua, that S80 is awesome! Is it very quiet? Why do you have the rear fan blowing in? How loud would you say that mushkin power supply is?

It's very quiet. It uses double box construction isolating the noise very well. With the rear fan blowing in my temperatures were much better. This is the way it comes stock but I tried both ways. Fresh air in the back, fresh air in the sides and all of the hot air comes out the top.

The Mushkin is absolutely awesome. It's very quiet, powerful and the fit and finish is impeccable. The cables are so nice and neat, makes for a very easy experience.

yep. the s80 looks like my next case. i had been thinkin about cases for a while, recently helping someone pick out form the top lineup of current choices. i even had one of hte orignal v1000's (silver, rivets, no rubber wheel tyres) and i love it dearly but in the pursuit of silence none other really caught my interest.

s80 ALL the way. finally some more innovation! and it looks like i might be able to do a top internal triple rad mount which will make me a VERY happy camper. thanks so much for the pics and technically for having the case full of parts too (so we can see what it could really look like)

frikken. awesome.

i hope more questions get asked abotu this case. blueaqua, you have a responsibility to keep coming back and answering them!
