Gaming and Multimedia modes arepretty useless for PC signals, they are really meant for the composite video input and correcting the video quality there.kelbear said:As for the desktop and gaming mode. The main difference I can see is that gaming mode has brighter gamma, by approx 20%. I can get the same effect in my games by playing desktop mode and cranking up the gamma in my games through the game options. It's a little easier to go through the menus once and have the game save it, than toggling monitor modes.

my one doesn't have a dead pixel. i hope my reaplcement doesn't either.
do they exchange it if you have dead pixels?
Jordan1 said:I think you have to have 5 or more to get a replacement. At least I don't see it most of the time. I used Dead Pixel Buddy to find it.
evs said:what's this dead pixel buddy? maybe i should check mine to see if i have any dead pixels......hmm...but then maybe ignorance is bliss?

kelbear said:Something to note, Dell doesn't give you notice of when they ship the replacement. It shows up in your "My account" page, but you don't get an e-mail or a tracking number.
My friend had the delivery guy hit his house twice and they didn't leave a pick-up slip like they're supposed to and instead just held onto the package at their facility. If he didn't know he could check when it ships via the webpage, he may not have known for a long time afterwards.
Not Ikelbear said:And for those who don't know. Dell made an error. People are receiving 2007FP replacements instead of 2007FPWs.
I'm one of them apparently:\

Jordan1 said:If you are happy with your "banding" monitor there's no sense in replacing it.
numbers said:Not trying to rub it in, they did a 20% price cut on the US site and people were wondering about whether or not they'd be sending rev A0's.
