Ok, so I've finally decided to watercool. I just have to much free cash right now and nothing to do with it so here goes....

I am planning on these items based upon reviews. They are from sharka and petra online sites. Please give your input and following the list I'll have a couple of questions...

First off the hardware to be cooled:
Opteron 165 @ 2.7 Ghz
x1900xt @ stock for now

Both in a Lian Li v1200b plus

The list of "to buy" at this point:

AquaXtreme MP-1 Universal GPU Water Block
Swiftech Storm Rev. 2 Extreme Performance Universal Waterblock - 1/2"
Laing D5/Danger Den D5 Inline 12vDC Pump
Swiftech MCR-220 "Quiet Power" Series Radiator - Black
Petra'sTech "Gel-Stuff" Vibration Absorption Block

I am new to this stuff and would love some input.

1) I want to go with 1/2" tubing.... can someone link me to the exact Tygon tubing that I would need, and also how much should I buy for safety in constructing the loop?

2) As far as the liquid goes... can someone recommend a good mixture and maybe link to items included?

3) I love the look of Aquacomputer stuff... but I can't justify paying the ~$100 for the Cuplex XT with fittings. Am I smart to make this choice? Is AC overpriced for the looks or will it really be better than that storm?

4) I also need a recommendation for a res. I like the aquatube, but once again, it is pretty pricy. I want something that won't cheapen the look of my v1200b plus.

5) Please recommend me some good performance/noise balanced fans to use with that radiator.

You want Masterkleer 7/16 tubing, available at petra's ( i think) or mcmaster-carr. It's about 39 cents a foot, is super clear, really flexable. And really cheap. It's the best.

2) As far as the liquid goes... can someone recommend a good mixture and maybe link to items included?

Distilled water + a splash of antifreeze + uv dye.

For sheer performance, that setup will outperform. AC is more of a low-flow system that's quieter. It's up to you, really. Are looks that important?

So you're saying that what I have would work better? Looks honestly aren't super important because I don't care to add a case window.

Also, this may be a stupid question, but what is the OD and ID?

Swiftech MCR-220 "Quiet Power" Series Radiator - Black

Mine has had a slow leak ever since purchasing it right at the threads. I hate the thing now.

4) PA120.3 rad with (3) Yate Loons or BIPro III rad with (3) Yate Loons
5) 1/2" Tygon R3603 or 7/16" Tygon R-3603 tubing
6) Plastic tube clamps (18) need some spares.
7) 1/2 plastic Tee for "T-line"
8) 1/2 Delrin fill-port

Thanks....

Anyone know the performance difference b/t Rev. 1 and 2 of the Storm block? Is it worth paying more for rev. 2?
Go with this...MP-05 SP LE CPU Waterblock or I can sell you my Storm rev2 so I can buy the MP-05 SP LE CPU Waterblock. :D

Do you have proof to back that up? Also do 2x120 Rad's support 2 on each side or just 2?

You do realize that the Aquatube does not have fittings available large enough for your setup right?

that can be changed can't it? I mean sharka sells them with all different fittings...

That's alotta $cratch! Don't know about the Aquatube thing, but I'm glad to see you went with the 7/16 ID tubing. When I re-did my system I opted to go with 7/16 and couldn't be happier. Flexibility and routing is much better than compared to the 1/2" stuff.

Want an easy fix? Pull the fittings out, put a coat of silicone on the fitting's threads then screw them in and let it cure. No more leaks.

Thanks. I'll probably do that, or suggest whoever i sell this thing to for $5 to do that. It's just such a pain to breakdown a watercooling system. For right now I'll just top off weekly. I'm intent on getting a PA120.2 now

Throwing good money after bad...such a waste. You won't notice any difference to the good and all because you had either a loose or cross-threaded barb.
