ok, so i have some vob files i need to edit.
i need to make a menu, be able to have music playing in the background, edit out frames and make a video from frames. and if possible have text scroll on the top of the video.

i have 5 days as of this writing to complete so any program you know of will be greatly appreciated!

thanks

humm. so i looked at that i cant see options for what i need to do.
to restate the above...
i need to make a menu like something on a movie dvd just but only a chapter selection
Ch1. (all with names besides ch1/2/3)
Ch2.
Ch3.
you get the idea.

1. for the video editing i need to cut out frames at the end of videos.
2. I need to make a slideshow basically with music playing in the background as one of the chapters.
3. i need to be able to have scrolling text (if possible) on the top of the video.
4. on the normal video chapters i would like to have music playing in the background while still being able to hear the voice of the people talking.

i hope this post was more coherant then the last one and easier to understand.
if theres something else thats maybe a little easier to use(im a noob to this)
~Thanks!

oh preferably free and without the "this was made with a free program" at the top

The tools above should do it. It may be a lot to learn how to do it in five days. The only things I am not sure on is the scrolling, and whether the free version of nero has any limitations on DVD authoring.

Yes, nerovision express should let you turn it into a DVD, and make your menus.
