I installed Vista on D, XP is on C and I can boot into either. After palying with Vista for a while I went back to Xp and my sound doesnt work anymore. Im using the realtek onboard sound on my Asrock 939sli esata motherboard. I tried reinstalling the drivers from asrock but no go. I can see the volume icon etc and its all listed in device manager fine.
Sound works in Vista no worries.
Any ideas?

nope, did you check if there are any updated drivers on teh website of your manufacturer yet? i doubt there would be though...it's still soon...

Sorry I think you missed my point... VIST sound works fine, XP sound no longer works after installing Vista. I did say that I downloaded and installed the drivers, for XP.

WOW WOW Ive fixed it, I went into bios and turned onboard sound from AUTO to Enabled... how crazy is that, its been on Auto for the whole of the time XP has been on this box, install vista and Auto no longer works, it needs to be on enabled now... Call me stupid but I blame vista (somehow)
