Im just wondering how many people forgive TK'ers for accidents and other stuff etc.

If it was obviously an accident then I will forgive. If it was obviously purposeful then I will punish. If it is not obvious either way then I will forgive.

Same here. Too bad more people don't follow this policy.

Kinda dumb when I'm in a tank in a tight spot and there an engineer right behind me, and I run him over and he punishes me  When the guy knows it was a accident.

O well just some 7th Grade kids that get mad when there killed

Thanks for votes and replies keep em coming

Happens to me all the time. Once I got punished three times in one round playing on Ghost Town because of people who ran out in front of my ATV/LAV-25/BTR-90 while I was going full speed down a street.

forgive if i don't know whether or not it was intentional or if it was an accidental tk.. and of course if it is an accident forgive.

the worst for me was right after release i played eng a lot and people on my team would just cruise over my mines and then punish.

i forgive if its an accident

tell you what, if more than 3-4 people from a squad are in a vehicle, they should be able to boot other players out of the vehicle. had a full squad of guys jumping into the helo on wake island last night.. for about 4-5 games, and we kept having to kill one random teammate so our entire squad could come

sure, we could have had the guys spawn on commander once we landed, but thats not easily said nor done when taking over the artillery island or ship

im honestly completely sick of public servers now after 2 months of playing, my squad was the only squad even capping, i was the only helo pilot ever getting people ONTO the island succesfully, and everytime i checked the map there were 50 little blue dots on the carrier standing there chatting

Well it depends. If i kill someone by accident like ran them over, bombed them cause they too close, or i mess up if they don't forgive me next time they accidently kill me i don't forgive. But most of the time i do.

I always forgive for accidents. But if some n00b loads my chopper up with C4 and blows me up I'm gonna punish him to the fullest extent of the server rules.

I always forgive unless it's intentional and then I always punish.

Pretty much what I follow - rarely do I punish.

As has been mentioned - I play engineer all the time (must me a masochist or something... ) and the 7th grade tards in tanks go zooming out of the base and blow them selves up because I've mined the entrace. THERE'S BIG RED SKULL AND CROSSBONES!!! DRIVE AROUND. And then they punish... gah! I purposlely got kicked from a server becuase these two tards kept running over mines and punishing me and telling the stop mining the entrace to the base... so I just put the mine under the tank and prevented them from having to drive to the exit... hehe. That made them really mad. The sucky thing was that they would last about 30 seconds in that tank and would TK if any one got near it and yet were totally ineffective in it.

Peace,
Tim

The reason this happens is the majority of servers now have FF turned off for mines and claymores.

I'm not sure what servers you're playing on but you might want to find one that has it turned off for mines and clays. Makes playing engi alot easier.

Always forgive if accident. Punish when it's intentional/could have been avoided. Oh yeah, and when I get TK'd by a medic...I'll punish if the moron doesn't come revive me or something. I know when I played medic a lot, people really didn't mind when I tk'd them on accident with a 'nade or something because I'd just trot over and revive them anyways. But there's no excuse to just accidentally TK someone and then not try to make up for it.

And oh yeah...people who punish after running in front of your plane...

I always forgive if I know it was my fault. I run into tanks that can't see me and in front of players in a firefight from time to time and know it's my fault. I tend to be fair about that. I hate when others aren't though.

Whenever there is a vote to kick a commander or especially another player I always vote yes too. I figure they must have fucked up pretty big repeatedly to get someone to vote them out.

Page Up gets used pretty often on my Keyboard I guess. I wonder if I should map it to my n52. :p

It all depends. If I am running across a road and I get run over, then I forgive as I didn't look both ways before crossing the street. But if some noob guns me down as I am standing there, then I will punish him (I would multiple times if I could).

It just depends on the situation.

i def. dont like people who run in front of the plane just because i beat them to it, and then punish me for it

and the people who don't look both ways before crossing a street...its like theyd run for cover when an enemy vehicle comes, but they run towards the blind spot of a friendly, get killed, then punish....bah

Unless I get tk'd for a vehicle or bombed in when I'm on the flag where if you were to just look at the map you'd see there were like 10 guys on the flag or if I'm fighting a losing battle ie: attempting to C4 a tank that sees me, going up against armor with an assault rifle, etc, I pretty much always forgive.

jesus christ i hate public servers more than walking through the ghetto and having crackheads ask me for change.

until they get the red-blue mixups fixed I forgive. I shot the hell out of two people last night that were showing up the wrong color.

That is the best analogy I've heard for it! Nice! :D

Generally yes, I make mistakes, they make mistakes someone dies, so I forgive.

After getting shot out of my cockpit by the same teammate with a M95 multiple times, I think there ought to be some way to "judge" TKs. Something like the former would be insta-kick whereas the accidental running into a nade or similar would be forgiven/lightly penalized.
